He started off his journey as an assistant director and is now working as a director in the industry. Lee is known for his works, “How to Use Guys with Secret Tips” (2013), “The Royal Tailor” (2014), and “Queen of the Scene”.

He was born on 9 January 1974 and was raised in South Korea. He did his schooling at one of the prestigious schools in the country. Later, in 1996 he completed his graduation from Boston University by majoring in Advertisement. After that, he enrolled at AFI for a production master’s program.
In 2002, he received a master’s degree in directing from Art Center College of Design. In the meantime, he produced and directed numerous short films while he was at college. Following that, Lee got the opportunity to work in Bobblehead Factory Production of the US and directed some commercials like Toyota Motor Sienna Van, Calvin Klein Eternity, and WD40. All these little efforts gave a spotlight on him.

Currently, he’s being seen teaching Cinematography at the Hongik University of Korea. Lee has worked as an assistant director prior to making his directional debut in the industry. He has assisted on quite a several movies like “Five Senses of Eros” (2009). In 2013, he made his filmmaking debut through the vigorous romantic comedy movie ‘How to Use Guys with Secret Tips.’ The film attained enormous attention from viewers all around the world. Despite this fact, it was not a commercial success. But, still, it earned the Golden Mulberry Award (Audience Award) at the 15th Far East Film Festival and the Bronze Prize for Best Asian Feature at the Fantasia International Film Festival in 2013. In 2014. He released his second feature film, which was a period drama named ‘The Royal Tailor’ (2014). The film was hugely appreciated by fans as well as by the superiors of the industry. This film received the Audience Award (Second Place) and My Movie Audience Award at the 17th Udine Far East Film Festival and the Audience Award at the New York Asian Film Festival in 2015.

Additionally, lee has also worked as an actor in the movie ‘V.I.P.’ (2017) as a Chinese restaurant delivery man.
