Lee II Hyung is an astounding celebrity with a successful history in the Film Industry. He is a South Korean personality who has worked as a film director and screenwriter in the country. He is widely known for movies like “The moonlight of Seoul” (2008), “Kundo: Age of the Rampant” (2014).

He was born on August 18, 1961, in South Korea. After finishing his studies at one of the eminent schools, he went to a University to wind off his further education. Due to his inclined desire towards the Film Industry, he kick-started his career as a film director. Lee worked as an assistant director before working as a director in the industry. Some of his notable works as an assistant director include “The Moonlight of Seoul” (2008), “My Way” (2011), and many other commercial films. All these works paved the way for him in his journey towards reputation in the industry.

His works were getting recognized and appreciated by people all over the world, and he gained immense popularity. Furthermore, Lee has also worked on YOON Jong-bin’s second film, which was the host drama “Beastie Boys” in the year 2008. Later, he worked as an assistant director in the big-budget war epic movie, “MY WAY”, assisting the excellent director KANG Je-kyu. Thereafter, he got the golden opportunity to work with one of the veteran directors of Industry, YOON again for the brilliant action epic ‘KUNDO: Age of the Rampant, casting HA Jung-woo and GANG Dong-won.

Later on, in 2016, he landed the perfect project where he got a chance to direct with the excellent production company named SANAI Pictures to release the thriller film, “A Violent Prosecutor”. This film recorded an enormous response from the viewers and it was a meg-hit for distributor Showbox, highlighting the success of other recent titles with political corruption themes like “Veteran” and “Inside Men”. It received a lot of love from the people and became the highest-grossing South Korean film of the year 2016, with a US$66.6 million worldwide gross. All this success showcased the hard work of lee in the industry and earned him huge respect from all the fans as well as directors. Other credited films of his are; “My Way” (2011) and “Alive” (2020). Lee’s dedication towards his work has always made him unique from others.
