Kim Kwang-sik is a film director and screenwriter from the South Korean entertainment industry. He first began working as a screenwriter in 1997 on the TV drama ‘Snail.’

Later he wrote screenplays for ‘Inner Circle’ (1999), ‘Last Statement’ (2002), and ‘Off Road’ (2007) and even the co-writer of 2009 period drama series ‘The Return of IIjimae.’ Kim was also the primary assistant director on Lee Chang-dong’s award-winning ‘Oasis.’

Kim later made a cameo appearance in Park’s first film as a director in ‘Top Star’ in 2013. He has worked as the director, script editor, screenplay, and assistant director. Kim has been a part of films like ‘The Great Battle’ (2018), crime thriller ‘Tabloid Truth’ (2014), ‘Top Star’ (2013), ‘The Suicide Forecast’ (2011), the romantic comedy ‘My Dear Desperado’ (2010), ‘Off Road’ (2007), ‘Last Statement’ (2002), ‘Inner Circle’ (1999), and ‘3PM Paradise Bath House’ (1997). He received the ‘Best New Director’ Award for ‘My Dear Desperado’ at the 31st Blue Dragon Film Awards in 2010.
