Yoshiki Fukuyama is a Japanese singer, songwriter, and musician. He is a member of the band JAM Project. Before this, he was part of Humming Bird. In 1998, Humming Bird was evolved by the band Maps. Yoshiki is often remembered for this. Humming Bird was highly influenced by Queen and The Beatles.
Yoshiki is most famous for being the guitarist and main singer of the anime Macross 7. The name of his character was BasaraNekki. Musicians like Fukuyama, Chie Kajiura, and Tomo Sakurai recorded many songs for the show. In 2009, Fire Bomber released an album titled Re. Fire on the 15th anniversary of Macross 7. The album remained at 16th on the Oricon 300 for seven weeks. In 2019, for the 25th anniversary of Macross 7, Yoshiki and Nobutoshi Kanna came together and performed several concerts. They have worked together since the show, with Nobutoshi as the actor and Fukuyama as the singer and guitarist.
