Toru Furuya is a Japanese Voice Actor and Narrator. He was born on 31st July 1953, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture of Japan. When he was young, he was a member of Sunflower, the children’s performance company troupe. He is currently employed by Aoni Production, a talent management company.
Furuya’s most famous characters are Amuro Ray (in the original Mobile Suit Gundam and subsequent Gundam sequels), Hyūma Hoshi (Giant Star), Pegasus Seiya (Saint Seiya), Yamcha (Dragon Ball), Kyōsuke Kasuga (Kimagure Orange Road) ) and tuxedo mask (Sailor Moon). He also used the stage name Noboru Sōgetsu in the cast of Mobile Suit Gundam to play the role of Ribbons Almark. The narrative character and Ribbons Almark are the first characters in the Century Gundam series to not belong to the universe. Ikeda Shuichi, who plays Char, was with Gilbert Durandal (Gilbert Durandal) at the Gundam SEED destination previously.
