When Amamiya was in her sophomore year of high school, she was greatly inspired by the voice actress Miyuki Sawashiro after watching a video collection of her roles. It was then that she decided to become a voice actress.
In 2011, she passed an audition held by Music Ray’n, along with Momo Asakura and Shiina Natsukawa. The three girls started their music unit “TrySail” and made their voicing debut in 2012.
In 2014, Amamiya got her first lead role as Kaori Fujimiya in the anime TV series “One Week Friends”. She is affiliated with the Music Ray’n group.

Amamiya also performs theme songs for various anime that she acts in.
Her famous roles comprise Asseylum Vers Allusia in “Aldnoah. Zero”, Akame in “Akame ga Kill!”, Mayuri in “Date A Live Movie: Mayuri Judgement”, Elizabeth Liones in “The Seven Deadly Sins”, Hitomi Uzaki in “Killing Bites”, Miia in “Monster Musume”, Isla in “Plastic Memories”, and Touka Kirishima in “Tokyo Ghoul”.
