Saeko Chiba, a Voice Actress and Singer from Japan, was born on August 26, 1977. She was born and raised in Tokyo, and in 2007, she married on her birthday. Not much has been known about her spouse, but she gave birth to a girl child on February 17, 2017. She is affiliated to ‘Space Craft Produce’.
Chiba began studying ballet at a young age with the goal of joining the Takarazuka Revue. She joined the Minami Aoyama Shjo Kageki Dan, an opera stage group for teenage females, after failing the admission exam for Takarazuka Music School in her third year of middle school.
Saeko had been cast in the lead voice acting part of Kotori Haruno in the Dreamcast (1998) game ‘Kita E’ after having many lead roles over three years with the troupe. Saeko opted to pursue voice acting full-time after getting a taste of it and realizing that it was preferable to appearing on stage.
Her voice acting debut was as ‘Tsubaki Sakura’ in “Kare Kano (1998). After that, she got the chance to give voice to the characters of ‘Kitsune no Akane’ in “Angel Tales (2001)”, and ‘Elliot Chapman’ in “Sci-Fi Harry (2000)”.
Yuki Kajiura, who provided music for several Nansh stage acts and penned and produced practically all of Saeko’s material, has helped her pursue a singing career.
‘Koi no Kiseki’, the theme song for the PlayStation game “Meguri Aishite” was her first single. She’s released nine singles and two albums since then, as well as several character songs and drama CDs. She’s also done music for video games including, “Alundra 2” and “Atelier Judie”. Her work on Chrono Crusade (2003), Mai-Hime (2004) and The World of Narue (2003) is what she is best known for.
