Ryo Ikebe was a Japanese actor born in Tokyo on 11 February 1918.
He pursued graduation from Rikkyo University. Initially, he wanted to become a Director but ended up being an Actor.

He made his acting debut with the film Tokyo in 1941. After a year, he had to cease his acting career because he had to join the Japanese army. After 1945, he resumed his acting career and came to fame by playing a part in films like Akatsuki no Dasso, Soshun, and Yukiguni.

Ikebe was a part of more than 150 movies. Later, in 2010 he died of blood poisoning. A few of his films are – The Sky of Hope, Midori no Daichi, Senso to Heiwa, Sono Yo No Boken, Hakai, Kikoku, Aoi shinju, Koibito, Bochan, etc.
