Masumi Asano is a voice actress from Japan. She was born in Noshiro, Akita Prefecture, on August 25, 1977. Masumin is a nickname she has earned for herself. She lived in Saitama for a while and earned a degree in Japanese literature from Kokugakuin University. Until she followed a friend to an audition during their third year of high school, Asano had no interest in voice acting. She took vocal lessons before graduating. Apart from voice acting, Asano was a member of several musical groups and became one of Japan’s most prominent radio announcers.
