Chosuke Ikariya was a Japanese comedian and film actor and head of the parody group The Drifters. He’s most known as “Chō-san.”
Chosuke Ikariya was brought into the world in Tokyo in 1931. Initial and assembly-line laborer, he sought to be an artist. His most recognized role is the Crying Demon, who haunts Akira Kurosawa as a youngster in his 1990 “Dreams.” After showing up in the 1987 Taiga drama Dokuganryu Masamune, he began his acting profession vigorously. Ikariya had won the public’s worship by then, at that point, and played an assortment of protective jobs on TV and in movies. His role in the series Odoru Daisōsasen, which later proceeded to move two motion pictures, drove him to what in particular was the top in his vocation – an Academy Award.
In 1990, he showed up in the Akira Kurosawa film Dreams. Ikariya won a Japan Academy Award in 1999 for the film Odoru Daisōsasen/ Bayside Shakedown. Ikariya died of cancer in 2004, at 72 years old.
