Aya Endo is a Japanese voice actor and narrator from Yamagata Prefecture who is now affiliated with Office PAC. She was born on February 17, 1980. She became the official Japanese dub voice of Minnie Mouse after Yko Mizutani’s death and has taken over many of Mizutani’s other duties.

Her first regular TV anime role was Kasumi Horiguchi in Oku-Sama wa Joshi Ksei in 2005, and she has played Sheryl Nome in Macross Frontier and Angelique in Neo Angelique since garnering fame as Miyuki Takara in Lucky Star in 2007.

She founded the voice acting unit “Plume” alongside Manabi Mizuno and Shiho Kawaragi for the internet radio show Plume Monogatari, however it is currently dormant. Endo received the Radio Kansai Award for Motteke’s theme tune at the 12th Animation Kobe. She co-won the Best Singing award at the 2nd Seiyu Awards in 2008 with Aya Hirano, Emiri Kat, and Kaori Fukuhara for Sailor Fuku, the opening theme song for the TV cartoon Lucky Star.

Endo went to Tokyo after graduating from high school to pursue a career as a voice actress. She enrolled in Nachi Nozawa’s current agency’s training school, the Performing Arts Center, and graduated after repeating a year.  She explained that she chose the training school because her parents knew Nozawa and thought he would be a good pick.

She was not adept at drama when she was at training school, and she even told Nozawa that she despised drama. She wanted to participate in plays but didn’t want to do love sequences. Furthermore, as she wanted to be a voice actress in the first place, the principal’s statements about being an actor before becoming a voice actress weighed heavily on people around her, so she pursued her dream and became a voice actress.
