Takeshi Aono was the incredible sensation of the Japanese Industry. His work always made him the center of attraction. Takeshi was an actor, voice artist, and narrator. He was well-acknowledged for his contribution to Ninja Scroll (1993), Super Smash Bros. Brawl (2008), and Farewell to Space Battleship Yamato: Warriors of Love (1978). He was born on June 19, 1936, in Asahikawa, Hokkaidō, Japan. He did his schooling at Hokkaidō Asahikawa Higashi High School, Japan. He completed his further educational qualifications from one of the prominent Universities of Japan.
Later, he was determined to follow his career in the field of acting or as a voice artist. He began his journey in Japan and established his name by reaching heights. Some of his most remembered roles are; Shiro Sanada in Space Battleship Yamato, Rihaku in Fist of the North Star, Nurarihyon in GeGeGe no Kitaro, Piccolo Daimao and Kami-sama in Dragon Ball, Kumahachi Kumada in Kiteretsu Daihyakka, Dakuan in Ninja Scroll, Deathsaurus in Transformers: Victory, Jinpachi Mishima in Demon form and Tekken 5/Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and Tomozō Sakura in Chibi Maruko-chan.
Additionally, Aono was the one who did dubbing for artists Joe Pesci and Christopher Lloyd in the live-action field. Also, he is known to be featured in the first ten One Piece movies. He is famous in the world of gaming. He is recognized because of his voice for the character diabolical Dr. Wily in the PlayStation-era Mega Man games and Colonel Roy Campbell of the Metal Gear games. After all these achievements in life, he suffered at his ending stages of life. He died at the age of 75 years.
Later, he was admitted into a hospital for aortic dissection and suffered a stroke shortly after that on 9 April 2012 in Hachiōji, Tokyo, Japan, and unfortunately ended his career as a voice actor. At last, Voice actress Eiko Hisamura publicly declared his death through her Twitter feed, and also, video game designer Hideo Kojima announced via his Twitter that his character Roy Campbell will be retired from the Metal Gear series in respect of brilliant artist Aono. All of his ongoing roles were replaced by some other excellent artists.
He is still living in the people’s hearts and is majorly remembered for his harsh voice in many Japanese anime series and was honored with a lifetime achievement award for his years of service and contributions to the industry on March 1, 2013, at the 7th Seiyu Awards in Japan
