TV Show Digest

Twice is a girl group with nine members under JYP. The members, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu, were selected through the survival program SIXTEEN, and they made their debut in 2015. This show showcases them behind all the chaos as they come to show themselves in their most authentic, bubbly, and sweet form as they shoot for their Taste of Love (2021) album.

The Feel-Good Part

Even though the group consists of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu, they never fail to make anyone feel left out. All the members shine in their moments. They showcase professionalism and patience throughout the shooting on the set. The girls do an excellent job, from the performance they put up to the facial expressions. They nail every single part. Their visuals are just an add-on bonus, and together they are just a visual treat.

The Disappointing Factor

There is so much that goes into the production of one song, especially if it is going to be released as a music video, so it was not very pleasant to see that we didn’t see more of the things related to the production. Most of the scenes we saw were related to the girls’ appearance during the shooting of the music video.

In-Depth Analysis

This show follows the nine members of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu, shooting together as the group Twice for their alcohol-free music video. They charm their viewers with their appearances, make mistakes, and learn and grow from them simultaneously. It shows all their silly antics and stories that make the viewers’ hearts melt. The music video “Alcohol-free” was released for their 10th mini album, “Taste of Love,” released in 2021. Taste of Love debuted at number two on the weekly Gaon Album Chart. In June, it was revealed that the pre-order sales had topped 530,000, making it their third title to sell more than 500,000 copies before release. With 46,000 album-equivalent units, of which 3,000 were estimated from the album’s 5.09 million on-demand streams, of which 43,000 were pure sales, Taste of Love debuted at number six on the Billboard 200 list in the United States. It was the top-selling album that week in terms of pure sales.

Star Power

Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu, all appear to shine in their moments and are a visual treat for the viewers. Time to Twice is the perfect show for K-pop fans and their fans, i.e., ONCEs, to tune in and relax and enjoy how the music video was made after the efforts of the staff and the members altogether.

Overall Opinion

This show is excellent for ONCEs who want to see more scenes of their idols shooting for the music video. Simultaneously, their antics and small gossip and stories add to making it fun, even though it consists of only four episodes.
