Paik’s Spirit aims to give viewers a distinctive introduction to traditional Korean food, drink, and culture. Along with commercial and craft beer, rice wines, and other conventional liquors, soju—the iconic green bottle at the heart of Korean wine and spirit traditions—will be highlighted. The emphasis on distinctively Korean drinks on the show will draw viewers from outside of Korea.

The Feel-Good Part

This television show is lively and realistic. It’s a fantastic idea to introduce traditional Korean cuisine, beverages, and culture to the viewers. Wandering the Korean streets and eating Korean street food is fantastic and engaging.

Paik’s Spirit on Netflix has a consistent format throughout its six episodes, which feature Baek Jong Won, one of the most well-known Korean chefs in the world, chatting with several other famous Korean celebrities while sharing bottles of delicious liquor and delectable Korean cuisine. The pattern for the latter part of the series was set in the opening episode, which features Korean rappers Jay Park and Loco chatting over some scrumptious Samgyeopsal (grilled pig belly) and soju. Big celebrities from the Korean acting field have been featured in the following five episodes of this cultural documentary series, including the stunning Han Ji-min, Lee Joon-gi with his boyish charm, and the stunning Kim Hee-ae. Baek Jong Won had joined on his culinary tour of South Korea’s streets by television producer Nah Yung-Suk and volleyball hunk Kim Yeon-koung.
