TV Show Digest

The United States of America (U.S.A) is a dream destination. For some, it is academics; for others, it is a fabulous holiday; for others, it is the prospect of living in a developed country. It is the land of abundance. Be it brands, be it produce, be it fun. The U.S has it all.

So, it is fascinating to follow the country through the eyes of two Korean superstar sisters The Jungs.

Jessica Jung, an actress, former K-band Girl’s Generation member, and her sister Krystal, another celebrity in her own right, take time off their busy schedules to plan, travel and drive through the country.

The series starts with them planning it, then moving on to the logistics and the actual traveling. Since both have roots in the U.S (they were born there), language is not a challenge.

Some of the states they cover are New Orleans, Austin (Texas), and New York, and they end the trip in San Francisco, their childhood city.

During their trip, they visit famous tourist sites, hang out in cafes and restaurants, relish local cuisine and culture, and shopping. For instance, they have a wonderful time in New Orleans enjoying the blue’s music.

The sisters are different yet similar. Jessica is classier, while Crystal likes art and history. So, they have to plan and agree on it, so both are happy.

The series is a travel reality show that equally captures the sights and moments.

The Feel Good Part

The Jung sisters are a delight. Jessica is the elder of the two, and she is pretty bossy. But Krystal is no less. She manages to hold her point of view with her sister.

They are also lovely and classy. From their clothes to their conduct to their speech, everything is good. Also, the way they switch from Korean to English is bang on.

The series captures the essence of American life from their perspective. The final leg in SF is touching as they re-live their childhood.

It is a treat for Girl’s Generation fans to watch Jessica Jung in action.

The Disappointing Factor

The series has no negative attributes as it is an individual and collective perspective of the sisters.

But, their interactions with the natives are limited. Other than New Orleans and Austin, the other cities visited are common.

In-Depth Analysis

When two Korean superstars decide to travel, things must be done. The Jung sisters are famous and have busy schedules. Yet they take time off to be together and return to the country of their childhood the U.S.A.

The series delves into all aspects of their travel, from planning to traveling. It is heartening to watch the sisters chalk out their itinerary.

Also, during the series, poignant, funny, and profound moments highlight the bond between the two sisters. These moments were fascinating to watch.

The sisters are a good combination of Korean and American cultures.

Star Power

Jessica and Crystal Jung are celebrities in their own right. Yet, they are very natural and humble, which makes it fascinating.

Overall Opinion

It is a good watch as we get to see the U.S from their perspective. It is a treat for all Jung sister’s fans.
