Find the best cowboy is a reality show starring the south Korean boyband NCT 127. Nine band members dive in to play different games in the reality show to find out who is the best cowboy. The nine members divide into three teams by playing rock-paper-scissors to decide the team order. The teams are named team Texas barbeque, team Young Ho, and team Maknae, respectively. The members play with a competitive spirit but joke around each other, which keeps the show entertaining.

It leads to some of the hilarious minutes in the show. The members struggle to race and jump together while competing against each other. The second game is called Cactus dodge ball where the members have to play dodgeball over the cactus farm made of bearing plates. The members unintentionally provide hilarious moments while trying to dodge the ball in a confined space. The first episodes end with the Maknae team winning the first two rounds. The second episode starts with round 3. The game is termed ‘Floor is Lava.’ The members must use multiple props lying on the ground to go around the room without touching the floor. The members try everything to stay off the floor and complete the game with some failures and epic wins. The fourth round starts with the game Cowboy on the sea. Two members sit in a rocking boat; underneath them is a noisy toy. The goal is to make the minimum noise with the toy as the boat rocks for twenty seconds. Team Texas barbeque wins rounds 3 and 4, ending in a tie with team Maknae. The two teams play the tiebreaker to decide the winner. The final game is a Random gun game with two bubble guns on a table and only one in working condition. In the end, team Maknae wins the tiebreaker round, earning the title of the Beat Cowboy.
