The Feel-Good Part

The poems recited between the last paragraph and the newly revised title are appropriate. The documentary was astonishing, it wasn’t dull.

The Disappointing Factor

The execution could have been more proper. In all, the documentary film is outstanding without any significant problems.

In-Depth Analysis

All the writers and scholars gathered in the village in Shanxi, and the hometown of Jia Zhang Ke. 18 chapter symphony about Chinese society was started. The story is narrated by three novelists born in 1950, 1960, and 1970. Jia Pingwa said that hometown is blood and as people are born there, and many of them die there. The section chief’s creations were closely related to the hometown where he grew up. Some unrelated themes are linked together through the vital role of the countryside and literature. Yu Hua’s paragraphs were beautiful, and the humor and charm from the emotional speech were so pleasing. They made creators think of their own experiences and current experiences.

Star Power

Huifang Duan, Liang Hong, and Lingwa Jia were perfect fit for their roles. The rest of the cast was also superb. The actors did their best to make the movie up to the mark.

Overall Opinion

It is good to watch the movie as it is a documentary film, and these types of movies usually don’t have re-watch values.
