Drama Digest

This is a BL drama about sports, comedy, music, and romance in northeastern Thailand. The two main characters of the show, Ruk and IG, met in school, where they play football for the team. One day IG fought with Ruk, which led him almost to be expelled from the school. To take revenge on Ruk, IG invited him to a party in hopes of embarrassing him. But IG wanted to make his ex-girlfriend jealous so, he kissed Ruk on the lips and pretended to be boyfriends. Soon the photos of them kissing circulated on social media; it flusters Ruk, and he did not want to continue their fake relationship, but it is what brings them close.

The Feel-Good Part

Although the show has a bad story and okay acting, the best part of the show was when the story moved from the town to their hometown. New characters, secret romances, and complicated family relationships made the series exciting and exciting. You will appreciate the scenery where you will see animals instead of vehicles, fields instead of buildings, and the zealous energy with cheerful music numbers.

The Disappointing Factor

The whole story is too unreal and scattered. At one, the quality increases with many improvements but then again, in the next minute, it declines. The starting episodes were such a turn-off that you will distract from the original plot. Many scenes were poorly written and dumb as if a child wrote it. The IG and Ruk’s relationship lack chemistry and, the intimate scenes seem forceful. The acting was okay of all the characters, with none of them being exceptional or remarkable.

In-Depth Analysis

This series shows three BL couples, each offering different types of romance. If you love watching spicy affairs, you will love IG and Ruk’s story. If you like a romance with ups and downs, but eventually everything sorts out, then Grateen and Nakrob will not disappoint you. But if you want a cutesy strawberry romance, Kui and Petch are for a rescue. All the three couples offer different affairs and you will love everyone. Nakrob’s father was against homophobia and was furious when he caught Grateen and Nakrob in bed. He was so angry that he bashed Grateen’s head until he bled. But later on, after his heart attack, he accepted his son as he was. The drama ends on a happy note.

Star Power

The actors did okay acting. They were not as good as expected.

Overall Opinion

All in one, Siew Sum Noi is a series with heavy comedy and music with romantic scenes. It is a one-timer and does not expect much from the show, watch it casually for fun. It shows that gay characters can fall in love anywhere and anytime, not just in big cities but also in different parts of the country.
