Drama Digest

The smallest mistake could drive away his grandmother, which would to him ceasing to exist as his bloodline won’t exist in the situation. What lessons will he learn from his present self and more importantly, will he be able to return to his present?

The Feel-Good Part

The chemistry between the characters is string from the very beginning, which makes it easy for the audience to connect with the characters. The double role aspect of the series is quite enjoyable as the personality of the two characters is contrasting, which is fun to watch. The side characters are also a fun aspect of the show as they add the comedic element to the show and give it a new flavour. The emotional scenes deliver for the most part as the characters are easy to root for. The original soundtrack is used well throughout the show and helps bring out the myriad of emotions the show is trying to portray.

The Disappointing Factor

The story is pretty cliché and doesn’t stray away from the common plot-points of this genre, which makes it predictable and may make it boring to watch. The series drags on for too long, which gets boring to watch as the conflicts that should be easy to resolve end up being long winding. The plot holes in the show are hard to overlook as they make gaping problems for the plot to make sense and for the story to continue on the same trajectory. The pacing of the show is extremely inconsistent as it takes time to take off and gets excruciatingly slow in the middle. This is why many members of the audience may drop the show at this point as they may feel like the pay-off won’t be worth the wait.

In-Depth Analysis

The drama is a complete package of action, romance with sprinkles of humour that make it the perfect show to binge over a couple of weeks. The emotional scenes land very well because the characters are easy to root for. Since the first part of this drama was critically acclaimed, the expectations for this show were high. The show did deliver on most occasions and successfully fulfils its aim to be an entertainer.

Star Power

All the performances were great. Thanapat Kawila delivers his respective characters with nuance, which made the audience connect with both the characters well. His performance is the highlight of the series as he successfully makes the audience believe in the differences of the two characters.

Overall Opinion

If your expectations are managed, it is quite possible to enjoy this show as it is easy to watch and quite entertaining, provided you don’t look too closely. There are shows that have done the back in time concept better, especially with less plotholes, but don’t let that deter you from giving this one a shot.
