Drama Digest

The village Tambon Don Jam did not hold much importance until Elder San and Kamnan Sri took the utmost interest in developing the place. Thus begins the journey of union between once teenage sweethearts turned rivals San and Sri, through their many fights, oppositions etc. The only common thing that holds them both is the concern for the village and the desire to develop it further. As the drama moves on, these community leaders indulge in doing good deeds for the Tambon people while also emerging as role models for their families. Through many ups and downs, they strive to stand beside each other. Some younger generation people also agree to work for the people, but the mill-owner, Hia Yong, turns out to be a villainous character. He stands as an obstacle to their work to gain for himself. Thus, he initiates misunderstandings among the village people and vigorously puts them against the community leaders. But the idea of educating the villagers about his disastrous plan doesn’t stop. The crux of the drama lies in not giving in to influential capitalist people like Hia Yong.

 The Feel-Good Part

Drama can be defined in short as fun, warm and exciting. Everything starting from little Inter’s cuteness to the warmth of closeness makes it no less than a ray of sunshine. The aspect of money buying happiness is severely opposed here. Light-hearted compassion overruns this idea. The emergence of newly fond relationships and the creation of strong bonds between the family members makes it all the closer to heart. Moreover, the beauty of local Thai culture blended with their family ethics is depicted gracefully in the drama.

 The Disappointing Factor

Despite gaining a central stage, the writing could have been better in formulating the story. At times the episodes get a bit sluggish and lack conciseness. The drama also somewhat resembles other mainstream Thai family dramas, making it no less different at the same time.

 In-Depth Analysis

Family life merged with an essential aspect of carrying out the jobs as government officials in the politics of the village. The story of a family structured through individual characters and their relationships is structured in a much down-to-earth manner makes it easy-going and funny. Little things that matter the most gradually develops in the storyline. The drama beautifully captures everyday life amidst problems. It almost rules out life through the silver linings. By doing so, it casts a much closer feeling to the viewers.

Moreover, love for home as a thematic aspect is shown vividly via the actions of the leaders. Family and community get conjoined in this sense, where family functions as the miniature version of the country. The performance of other characters impregnates this rationality.

 Star Power

Saksit and Sujira’s evergreen acting is still exuberantly displayed through their characters. As a child actor Voon, Inter has done an excellent job. Moreover, Schiller’s acting as Hia Yong places the villainous concept. Apart from the outstanding performance of the actors, the locations add extra glamour to the atmosphere. Beautiful sceneries of rural Thailand offer a relaxing break in the middle of all ongoings.

 Overall Opinion

This drama is just like another neighborhood story that is bound to melt your heart through the instabilities of their journey. It is an excellent option for relieving stress after a long day’s work. If you opt for a cozy family time and popcorn, then enjoy it with the family of San and Sri.
