Drama Digest

After finding out that her husband was having an affair with another woman named Lanna, she suffers a broken marriage, which puts her in a very bad position. So, she marries Yaowayod as a stepping stone so that her now new husband can gain some political status. They both have to endure each other for each other’s benefits. Buret and Chan are also there to support the women present. But due to their growing vengeance, they continue to bear their fangs at each other and aim to defeat each other. However, they continue to dive deeper and reveal each other’s secrets, which might lead to greater loss and pain that they might experience in the future.

The Feel-Good Part

This drama does a great job portraying the emotions of the characters. It showcases the true emotions that the characters go through. It keeps even the viewers emotionally invested in the whole story when they don’t even realize they’ve completed the show. The actors are the perfect choices for the roles they are portraying, and in no manner do they seem to be lacking.

The Disappointing Factor

The only thing that disappoints me about this story is how much emphasis it places on one woman bringing down the other. It could have brought out so much more to the story than just the two women who are at each other’s throats all the time.

In-Depth Analysis

The protagonist of “Khem Sorn Plai” is Cherd, a stunning woman who is shackled to Dr. Ruengboon in a foreign nation. She discovers herself falling for Lanna, a Thai student who has moved here to study, while trapped in a loveless marriage. Cherd is nevertheless compelled to marry Dr. Ruengboon because he refuses to grant her a divorce. Lanna eventually makes his way back to Thailand, where he starts a new life by weding Yaowayod, a young woman who is ideal in terms of both appearance and social standing—and who was most importantly picked out for him by his mother. Despite having a lovely wife, Lanna can’t let Cherd go and secretly harbors feelings for her. Cherd is ultimately divorced by Dr. Ruengboon after learning that Lanna has wed, and she too departs for Thailand to start a new life. She still keeps a lighted candle for Lanna, unable to forget him, despite the fact that there are plenty of young guys waiting to check her out. What about Lanna, who states that he wants to get back together with Cherd but will not divorce Yaowayod? The story’s hidden gem is how young people express their sentiments, as well as Cherd’s decision to let go of the burden of the term “love” after a protracted period of being misled.

Star Power

Kitkong Khamkrith as Lanna, Thisa Varitthisa Limthammahisorn as Cherd, Nune Woranuch Bhirombhakdi as Yaowayod, Euro Yotsawat Tawapee as Bured, and Pol Poonpat Attapanyapol as Dr. Ruengboon together form the main cast and perform fabulously along with the other supporting cast.

Overall Opinion

This drama is a great watch if you enjoy dramas centered around the theme of revenge. This Thai drama is a great culmination of various genres, which makes it an interesting watch.
