Drama Digest
The story revolves around the characters of Hart and Pukphong, who are at an athletic camp. The camp has a sense of looming eeriness that has been felt by all the people there. What are the secrets the school is hiding and what will be the consequences of dealing with such mysterious powers? Watch to find out.
The Feel-Good Part
A light horror-themed BL series, it makes a great casual watch. If you are apprehensive about the horror content, rest assured, there’s nothing in it to give you nightmares. The performances are decent and the soundtrack perfectly hits the mark
The Disappointing Factor
Unfortunately, the series is somewhat lacking in both BL and horror. There is nothing but cliché scenes to call it horror. It fails to deliver the promise of a big twist after a lot of build-up and is largely predictable. The gratuitous use of slow-motion was a little painful in places as it slowed the pace of the already flimsy plotline that makes up the eight episodes of this show.
In-Depth Analysis
The show attempts to pass of the back-stories mysteries and unnecessarily drag them to fill the episodes. However, the back-stories are generally rather underwhelming and leave the viewers with a dissatisfied aftertaste after the build-up. Despite all the exaggeration in the other parts of the plot, the ghost problem is resolved quickly, as though the writer suddenly realized that they have to wind up the plot.
Overall Opinion
The ending of the series does not live up to the expectations. The music was eerie and well-suited to the plot but other than that, there’s little to be desired and a fraction to be fixed. If you decide to give it a try, don’t be surprised by unnecessarily long pauses in conversations, the long awkward stares, and the shallow dialogue. This really could have been a rather fantastic series had it been approached properly, but ultimately turns out to hit-or-miss.
