Drama digest

Captain Phasut’s car turns into an accident that killed him and his wife, Namping, when he is on a long drive to the city of Chiang Mai. Fortunately, their six-year-old son was not traveling with them that day. Namping’s brother, who is the owner of a coffee estate, Khunkhao, was rocked by the news. He was swift, to take care of the funeral. But, there comes Thofah – Phasut’s younger sister to take Tawan to Bangkok on behalf of his grandfather, Athit. Khunkhao is not ready to let Tawan go with a grandfather and an aunt he has never met. Thofah will do anything that it takes to complete her task.

The feel-good part

The drama beautifully highlighted the northern Thai traditions. The execution was on the good side. The story and plotline were presented nicely.

The disappointing factor

The plot was usual, and it was nothing new or innovative. The editing in some episodes was offbeat, and for a few characters, dialogues were not appropriately written.

In-depth analysis

It is a cheesy drama. The themes in the drama focused on life teaching and character growth. The drama gave endearing scenes. After a few annoying episodes a heart-warming episode, would follow. The male had an excellent character development. The side characters so had their enlightening experiences. Thofah looked terrific in her outfits, and her character was loveable. Khunkhao and Fah together made the romance alive and enjoyable. The relationships were developed uniquely for other couples, but their path to being together was fun to watch. The songs evoked memories of the scene. The opening song was light-hearted. The story starts with Tawan’s mother’s death and how people who bated each other at first fall in love. Fah and Khun have different backgrounds, and it took time to get used to their customs. The character development in the drama was good to see.

Star power

The portrayal of the female lead was on the sweet and kind side. The male lead was strict and soft-spoken. The chemistry between the cast was incredible. The acting was top-tier. All the actors were good at their job, even the child actors.

Overall opinion

The drama is adapted from the novel ‘Aom Fah Oab Din’ written by Khiri. If you have to cure a bad-day blues or you need a break, then go watch this out. It is a straightforward and binge-able drama.
