The Feel-Good Part
One of the most nerve-wracking, gripping action sequences and perfect portrayal of suspense element drama tag of 2021 can be given to “The Veil.” With its great & unexpected plot twist, this drama did a great job captivating the audience’s attention.
It is well approached and the expertly designed fighting scenes, as well as the remarkable story, makes it an outstanding action series that is worth watching. Speaking of the plot, the way the back story & current timing story is mapped out is so transparent that it just makes it so easy for the audience to connect the dots. Those little cliffhangers & twist pumps that come up in the story from time to time make the viewers so driven that it just keeps going in your head over and over again. This drama is one hell of a spy-action-thriller and a roller coaster ride that will keep you on your toes till the end. From dialogues to cinematography, everything will keep you hooked throughout the whole drama.
Star Power
The principal leads did such a marvelous job impersonating their characters on the screen. It’s like they have brought the characters to life. The efforts they have put into their respective role, from imitating the expression to performing the action & fighting sequence in such a skilled manner, is amazing. So, acting-wise this drama is worth watching.
The Disappointing Factor
Although this drama has lots of plus points in it, somewhere it lacks the narrating style. Though it’s rare, still it becomes hard to grasp the story, but of course, the writer did a great job in comprehensive. Also, the ending could have been slightly better.
In-Depth Analysis
The drama narrates the tale of a NIS Agent’s journey of uncovering the traitor who’s present in the system, but while doing so, he comes across a much more significant threat & truth about an organization.
Han Ji Hyun, an excellent performance record holder NIS Agent, has always been admired by his colleagues for completing his mission. In such a scrape, things took a drastic turn when he went missing and came back after one year. What surprises everyone the most is his bad condition & the fact that he doesn’t remember anything that happened because he has lost his memory.
He sets on finding the truth behind him going missing, what happened with him as well as what else everyone has been hiding from him, with the help of Seo Soo Yeon, a criminal investigator who does her job always with perfection. This drama is the file with some prominent suspense, thrilling plot and with almost terrific fighting sequence.
Overall Opinion
Given that it just has 12 episodes, the plot’s character development is insane. So, it is a recommended drama from the direction of stories and acting, and the way investigation & crime scenes are mapped out is just phenomenal. As for action, well, I believe any fancy word would be an understatement to state how impressive they are. So, you should give it a try if you like action genre stuff.
