Drama Digest

The horrific killings of a crazed serial killer gripped an entire nation in terror and despair. Jung Ba-Reum is a rookie cop who is honest and wants to do the right thing. He is confronted by the assailant. He survives his deadly encounter with the psychopath, but his life changes dramatically in front of his eyes.

The Feel-Good Part

Mouse was a one-of-a-kind drama that steered clear of clichés. All of the murder clues were always right in front of our eyes, but we don’t realise it until that portion came along and made sense. It’s dark and suspenseful. Certain ideas are based on scientific evidence. Everything about it is predetermined and revealed in a proper manner. It doesn’t even contain a lot of plot twists that aren’t necessary.

The Disappointing Factor

Cliffhangers and fake outs are overused throughout the drama. It does have a dense plot, therefore it is difficult for all viewers to keep up with what is going on. It was also no longer surprising midway through the show due to the relentless disclosure of truths. The quantity of characters, particularly the victims, was excessive, and they were not given enough time to get to know them before being erased from the plot as victims. This is the explanation for the characters’ lack of depth. The excessive usage of jumpcuts becomes bothersome.

In-Depth Analysis

The show took a lot of chances in order to develop the plot. It features graphic and gruesome killings, thus it is not suitable for everyone. The plot is dense, and it takes a lot of thought to figure out what happened and how key details affect the rest of the story. To comprehend how the plot develops, it is vital to pay close attention to each and every dialogue. All of the characters in the film are linked to one other and the significant events in some way.

Star Power

Lee Seung Gi (Jung Ba Reum), Lee Hee Joon (Ko Moo Chi), Park Ju Hyun (Oh Bong Yi) and Kyung Soo Jin (Choi Hong Joo) played out their roles well and drew intention to their characters individually.

Overall Opinion

The show is worth your time if you’re into crime thrillers because of how it was well written.
