The feel-good part

The drama is beautiful. The characters felt real, and they were written with depth. They touched on many sensitive topics through this drama. It is not a light-hearted drama to binge-watch. The female lead is funny, charming, and cares a lot about her patients. The drama was among the realistic Kdramas. The characters were not dramatized. Every character felt like a real person. The romance between the leads was the sweetest moment. There were no unnecessary tropes. The scenes where the leads were together felt like a naturally developed romance. The main plot of the drama is lovable and also the subplots.

The disappointing factor

Character development is the major flaw in the drama. If characters are not well developed, it makes the drama feel incomplete. The shoddy story and flawed characters made the plot weak. The plot development was a significant failure.

In-depth analysis

They attempted to attract the audience with humanism and hospice affairs and gave melting vibes. The story was inspired by the true accounts of the ‘Make-a-wish Foundation’ in the Netherlands. The plot starts with bloom, but becomes weary by the interval, and dreadful in the final sequence. The script could have been made a good one with peculiar features but they failed to do that. The plot development was inconsistent and not even a single character was developed properly. The ost composed by Kim Dong Wook, was indeed beautiful and touching. The male lead was flawed with the dark past. The romance stood out in the whole drama. The relationship goals were reflected through their beautiful presence. There were many unnecessary sequential flashbacks for a few characters. The side characters contributed to some of the warm factors. Won Ji An’s portrayal of Joon Kyung was excellent. She delivered her role amazingly. The plot seemed promising in the beginning.

 Star power

The Genie cast deserves the most compliments. The actors did a fantastic job, and they felt like real people. Most of the characters got enough screen time to make them an essential part of the team. Shin Joo Hwan, Won Ji An, Nam Tae Hoon, and Park Se Jun were some familiar faces in the drama.

Overall Opinion

It is an outstanding drama that cannot be binge-watched. The last episode was touching and sweet. The dialogues make us feel how precious life could be. The drama is well-written with great depth and complexity that can make you emotional.
