Drama Digest

Bo Young takes up the role of a caregiver in Wang’s mansion, which was once opulent but now less so. Bo Young, however, has ulterior motives that are potentially harmful. Kim, Wang’s sole living relative, employs Bo Young and establishes specific rules, including refraining from bringing anyone, particularly kids, and avoiding the vicinity of the reservoir. Upon visiting the area, Bo Young discovers that the mansion isn’t ordinary;instead, it’s infused with supernatural energies, making it a haunted abode.

The Feel-Good Part

The storyline is excellent and well-formed. There are lots of things going on that make it exciting to watch.

 The Disappointing Factor

The storyline was dragged anyhow; they focused only on one aspect, leaving out a lot of other things that could have been better and enjoyable. A few viewers didn’t like that the show was so long, almost two hours. They thought it would have been better as a shorter, one-hour movie.

 In-Depth Analysis

KBS Drama Special is a TV show from South Korea. It’s like a collection of short stories that are shown on KBS2. Each episode has a different story, actors, director, and writer. The show is made similarly to Drama City and MBC’s Best Theater. They show other kinds of dramas with different stories and styles. “Devil in the Lake” is a short story from this series. After Bo Young moves into the mansion, sinister and strange phenomena persist within the vast mansion of Grandmother Wang, positioned alongside a reservoir named ‘Gwimot’. Tragic incidents are occurring there, and Bo-Yeong learns that foreign visitors have met with enigmatic and fatal outcomes.

 Star Power

The cast was excellent. Park Ha Na played the role of Bo Young, Jung Young Joo played the role of Kim Sa Mo, Heo Jin played the role of Wang Hal Meo, and Kim Joo Eun played the role of Soo Young.

Overall Opinion

The show is good and pretty haunted. If you like such dramas, this one is a must-watch!
