In-Depth Analysis

Life has been simple and challenging over the past ten years since the Great East Japan Earthquake. In Oshika Peninsula, Miyagi Prefecture, Onodera Kiyoshi (Kusanagi Tsuyoshi) and his wife Akari (Yoshida Yo) owned and operated an Italian restaurant that was right next to the water. On the other hand, the tsunami destroyed it. Desperation led to Kiyoshi’s heavy drinking as a result of his state. He renovated an Italian restaurant and trained to become a chef who seeks for the greatest flavors. He is currently the owner and chef of Paradiso, a brand-new Italian eatery. On March 11, 2021, 10 years after the earthquake, he sends out invitations to friends for a celebration he has arranged at his Italian restaurant. After receiving this unexpected invitation, his pals get perplexed and start speculating about his motives. On a day when the catastrophe region is cloaked in solemnity, no one would dare to gather and drink together. As the celebration gets going, Kiyoshi begins to explain why they are gathered here, gradually bringing to light each of the secrets that have been kept throughout the years since the catastrophic calamity.
