Drama Digest

Sawada Kyoka, a yoga instructor, does a regular job. After her mother passed away two years earlier, she moved in with her father, Sawada Rintaro. The day is spent at work for Japanese linguist Sawada Rintaro. He is currently just concerned with learning Japanese. After the passing of his wife, his life appeared to be lacking in vigor. Sawada Kyoka, who is in charge of caring for her father, Sawada Rintaro, constantly quarrels with him. Sawada Kyoka wants a life where she can devote all of her attention to herself. Because of all that is going on around her, Sawada Kyoka is not interested in getting married. But one day, Sawada Rintaro finds a divorce decree among the belongings of his deceased wife. Sawada Rintaro feels the need to remarry as a result of this. He also urges his daughter, Sawada Kyoka, to hunt for a husband. The father and daughter begin the process of finding a prospective marriage. At this juncture, Sawada Kyoka meets Higashimura Seita, a woman raising a seven-year-old kid alone.

The Feel-Good Part

This entire drama is a blend of family, love, and drama that will keep you warm on a cold day. It floods you with emotions and thus is a show that requires emotional investment. You may find yourself so emotionally invested in the show that you can’t help but smile or cry from time to time during the show.

The Disappointing Factor

There is not much disappointing about the drama except for the fact that, given that it is a family drama, it might appear to be quite mellow and life-based. There are many interesting things about the drama as a whole.

In-Depth Analysis

Yoga instructor Sawada Kyoka has a day job. She moved in with her father, Sawada Rintaro, after her mother passed away two years prior. Sawada Rintaro, a Japanese language scholar, works during the day. His focus right now is solely on learning the Japanese language. His life seemed to lack vitality after the death of his wife. Sawada Kyoka frequently quarrels with her father, Sawada Rintaro, and is also responsible for looking after him. Sawada Kyoka desires a life in which she can focus solely on herself. Sawada Kyoka doesn’t care about getting married because of everything going on around her. But one day, amid his late wife’s possessions, Sawada Rintaro discovers a divorce decree. This makes Sawada Rintaro desire to be married again. Additionally, he encourages Sawada Kyoka, his daughter, to look for a spouse. The father and daughter start looking for a potential spouse. At this point, Sawada Kyoka meets Higashimura Seita, a single parent of a boy who is seven years old.

Star Power

Ueno Juri, who plays Sawada Kyoka; Matsushige Yutaka, who plays Sawada Rintaro; Tanaka Kei, who plays Higashimura Seita; Isomura Hayato, who plays Fuwa Hayate; and Igawa Haruka, who plays Hinata Akari, are the main roles of the drama, and they perform amazingly along with the other supporting roles.

Overall Opinion

If you enjoy mellow dramas, you might enjoy this particular Japanese drama, which is centered around a family.
