Drama Digest

In a park, a clown’s body is discovered. Together with rookie detective Uzuka Shinsaku, detective Shirataka Amane of the Musashino Higashi Police Station starts their investigation. On social media, they come across a photo of the victim carrying a balloon with the initials TTX and the number 1, which denotes pufferfish toxicity.

The Feel-Good Part

Initially, it appeared as though this Hakutaka Special served more as a means of character introduction before the characters were ultimately utilised in a main drama. The story’s characters and their chemistry were what made it so captivating, and many viewers agreed with this opinion. Although it may not make the most sense for a detective to go somewhere alone knowing he will encounter a criminal, it may be seen that this could be justified as an act of impulsivity, and perhaps it is okay that way. Aside from that, many people praised each character’s entire situation and story.

The Disappointing Factor

This Hakutaka Special initially gave the impression that it was more of a way to introduce the story’s characters before they were subsequently used in a main drama. This impression was shared by many viewers because the story’s characters and their chemistry were what made it so intriguing. A detective travelling somewhere alone knowing he will run into a criminal may not seem the most logical, yet it can be understood that it can be excused as an act of impulsivity, and perhaps it is okay that way.

In-Depth Analysis

A clown’s body is discovered in a park. Initiating the investigation is Musashino Higashi Police Station detective Shirataka Amane and rookie detective Uzuka Shinsaku. On social media, they discover a photo of the sufferer carrying a balloon with the numbers 1 and TTX, which is a sign of pufferfish poisoning. Shirataka has a gut feeling that this is a confession made by a serial killer, but Chief Investigator Fukukawa Saeko refutes her. A second murder happens when Detective Kusano Seiya and other MPD First Investigative Division employees join the investigation. Shirataka thinks back to a murder and kidnapping case that went unsolved two years ago and that she still regrets.

Star Power

Many audience members concurred that the story’s suspense came from the characters and their interaction. Although it may not make the greatest sense for a detective to travel alone in an area where he knows he would run into a criminal, it may be argued that doing so was impulsive and hence acceptable. Apart from that, many people admired the overall circumstance and narrative of each character.

Overall Opinion

Definitely you can watch if you do not have anything.
