Drama Digest

“Boku no Daisuki na Tsuma” is a Japanese live-action series released in 2022. The story revolves around Kitayama Chika, who is a salesperson in an apparel shop.

The Feel-Good Part

This show focuses on an important topic regarding behavioral disorders. It highlights a very important theme of how people view disabilities. In society, we often sympathize with people having disorders but cannot afford to suffer from one ourselves. But in that process, we forget to accept it as it is and help with coping mechanisms instead of neglecting them. Disorders can be of different types and can range from minor to major. The disorder shown here is developmental, which results from an individual’s growth. They defined it as a disorder it affects their daily lifestyle. The show is emotional and shows us the complexity of the couple’s relationship that they face after marriage. It is shocking as well as sad to find out about one’s partner having a disability that is not known before. But Satoru still supports her and helps her cope with it.

The Disappointing Factor

This show is uniquely beautiful and exposes people to a broader sense of disabilities. It has no disappointing factors.
