Drama Digest

Teiichiro had been married to Sachiko, his wife, long time, and he also inherited her parent’s company Ishino Clinic in Kanazawa, after their marriage. He is a well-known and reputed individual due to his straightforward working manner but has been hiding a big secret from his wife. Teiichiro had been having an affair for the last three years with a young male college student named Umezawa Tomohisa. But one day after, many days, a detective approaches Teiichiro due to a murder investigation case as the suspect claims Teiichiro to be his alibi. Sugiyama is the man accused of the alleged murder who thinks he met Teiichiro at the time of the incident. In fact, on that day, he and Tomohisa had arranged a secret meeting and accidentally met Sugiyama but pretended not to remember him. Due to the fear of exposing his secrets, Teiichro lied to the investigator by falsely stating of never met Sugiyama that day. But now, he had driven Tomohisa away and lost his work, and his family doesn’t seem to remember that day correctly.

The Feel-good Part

The story follows a cheating husband who falls into a tricky situation after getting involved in a murder investigation that provides an intricate plot to watch. The story is suspenseful and thrilling that contains every dramatic effect on point. The story is fast-paced and well established from the start till the end. It is an effective composition with brilliant narration and pleasing execution. It is for a mature audience that portrays sensual scenes with bold choices. It is an easy-to-understand show containing complex characters facing ups and downs with moral dilemmas. The uneasiness gradually grows, and real dangers appearing got brilliantly carried out. The actors performing in this movie did a spectacular job of portraying their respective roles. It was a unique version of a classic tale in modern times, which it certainly managed to accomplish. The technical aspects were decent enough for this show.

The Disappointing Factor

The plot becomes a bit dull after a while, and the mystery dies down in terms of excitement. The ending seems to be a bit unbelievable and unrealistic.

In-Depth Analysis

The story follows a man afraid of getting caught in his lies and faking a testimony which leads to an innocent man’s destruction. To keep his secret safe and hold on to his perfect life by selfishly pushing the other man into the darkness. The show also portrays the hardships of homosexual individuals and their daily struggles to get accepted by society and themselves. A small cover-up leads to a crime that destroys many lives involved. Due to his ruthless behaviour to save the self and his family image, everyone becomes distant from him in the end.

Star Power

The screenwriter and directors of this show are Asahara Yuzo and Ishikawa Katsumi. Tanihara Shosuke plays the role of Ishino Teiichiro, Nishida Naomi plays Ishino Sachiko, Asaka Kodai portrays Umezawa Tomohisa, and Horibe Keisuke plays the role of Sugiyama Kozo in this show.

Overall Opinion

The show provides a decent thriller drama that might get audiences immersive in its racy world. It has a short running time and an edge-of-the-seat storyline that might make it a binge-worthy watch.
