Drama Digest

Shi Jian founded “Universal Brother,” a company specializing in mysterious events, after his girlfriend drowned expectantly in a room without water. He wanted to learn the truth about her death. He picked up a mystical key that can take him anyplace by accident. There are a variety of similar objects, such as cream that can change shape, a finger that can affect objects, a pendant that can control water, and so on. Shi Jian realizes that these wonderful artefacts are connected to his girlfriend’s demise. The true origin of the artefacts and the plot behind them emerge as the incident progresses.

The Feel-Good Part

The scriptwriters are the ones who can put in the effort to develop a script that is cohesive, fast-paced, and intellectual. A narrative in which the protagonists and all other characters are intelligent. No one’s intelligence has been diluted only to bring the story to a close. And the battle of wits, especially in the later episodes, is fantastic.

The Disappointing Factor

The film’s production value is low, and it’s pretty cheesy. Furthermore, the part-time actors were unable to keep up with the acting, particularly towards the end.

In-Depth Analysis

Although there was no indication of water, Shi Jian’s lover drowned and died. Shi Jian begins to examine weird happenings after her strange death, but to no avail. He discovers a magical key that allows him to travel anyplace in the globe one day.

Finding a mystical key opens Shi Jian’s (Shao Zhuang) eyes to a new universe, but his discovery has drawn the unwanted attention of numerous factions. Shi Jian meets three friends during this time: Xiaoshu (Tang Xiaoran), Lu Ping (Tian Song), and Xiaogui. He discovers that there are several things that are identical to the key and have different magical abilities. Shi Jian deduces that the object may be related to his girlfriend’s death, therefore he and his pals go to great lengths to gather said objects in order to determine his girlfriend’s cause of the death. The origin of the objects progressively comes to light as they draw closer to the truth, revealing a massive conspiracy and an unparalleled crisis.

Star Power

Because of bad production, special efforts, and places that they employ are too sparse, and possibly camera equipment, the actors were unable to communicate the rush and desperation in the last arc, causing the last half to suffer in storytelling.

Overall Opinion

Although the story is still decent and going strong, the drama isn’t as thrilling towards the end. It felt like something was missing. The tale is pretty amazing, especially in the 20+ episodes, if you don’t mind the lower production quality. Such a frantic pace, as well as witty writing and visual direction.
