Drama Digest

The story revolves around a female lawyer named Xu Jie who relocates to another place, leaving behind her original place of residence for job purposes to move on from her life frustrations and to retain her emotional well-being. A series of events happen at her new workplace that also introduce her to some people who change her life forever.

The Feel-Good Factor

There are a few light-hearted and sweet moments throughout the show, but the friendship between the two female lawyers is heart-warming to watch. Even after going through all the ups and downs, they stay with each other for life.

The Disappointing Factor

The series revolves around a law firm and may portray cases that might be insensitive to watch for some viewers or something they must’ve experienced in their personal lives. It is important to remember not to take anything too seriously.

In-Depth Analysis

Xu Xie, an ordinary woman who’s a lawyer by profession, finds herself caught in the middle of emotional frustration regarding her personal life. This leads Xu Jie to move out of her town of residence. She moved from one city to another to get a job and find emotional stability. She begins working as an intern at a law firm where her acquaintance Li Ming Tang has invited her. She gets assigned a bribery case involving the arrest of an infamous lawyer, Chen Wenguang, who was found guilty in the case along with another colleague named Chen Ran. Soon it is discovered that Chen Ran is no one else but Chen Wenguang’s daughter and that she has been looking into the case secretly since the arrest of her father. She seems like a charismatic and intelligent personality who is successful and does not get along with Xu Jie initially. But Chen Ran also had been suffering from some personal life problems and is a vulnerable person in real life. As they start working on the case after case together, the two become close acquaintances and start trusting each other with everything. But when Chen Ran finds out the valid reason why Xu Jie has come to work at the firm, their relationship faces turbulence. But in the end, they find a way to reconcile and remain best friends forever.

Star Power

The show stars were the two ladies, Chen Ran and Xu Jie, who defied the grounds of friendship and intelligence sweetly.

Overall Opinion

Despite facing ups and downs in their friendship, the love they share for each other remains unchanged. All in all, it’s a revolutionary series for China as it’s a new genre to show women marching forward in the field of law.
