Drama Digest
Forget You Remember Love is a story of a young lady who saves an oppressed President who has lost his memories. Shan Junhao is the male lead of the story. President of Senwell, he’s a hard-hitting pioneer who never goes to half lengths to accomplish what he needs. Meanwhile Ye Qianyu is the female lead, who is also called “the first Madam of fishing village”. How Shan Junhao and Ye Qianyu cross each other’s roads and fall for each other is the basic plot of the series.
The Feel-Good Part
The romantic tale, while lovable, is likewise truly tragic. The principle leads go through a lot to be together and their affection was really touching and impactful as a watcher. Their love is all the more precious because of amount of pain and suffering the fundamental leads had to go through to wind up joyfully together.
There are countless adorable scenes that will spring up on your Instagram and I think you’ll continuously click it, regardless of whether you’ve previously watched it multiple times. Though many feel that storyline is a piece out-dated, it always felt comforting and nostalgic to watch something that gave 2010s vibes.
Although a ton of the actors are beginners at the art, all of them delivered great performances.
The Disappointing Factor
This drama being remake of the Taiwanese original story “The Prince Who Turns into a Frog“ attracted obvious negative attention. Though the creators have tried to add their own touch to the drama, but many secondary characters felt very bland. Even some sub-plots were given very little attention which made the series feel a bit dragged at times.
In Depth Analysis
A love story of an ordinary girl and a CEO of a company, this is certainly not the first time you would’ve heard that synopsis. The plot of the drama is very cliché and dreamy at times. But that’s what falling in love feels like, isn’t it?
There might be a few technical shortcomings, but the leads of the show carry it with their infectious chemistry. You can’t help but smile every time they’re interacting.
The original drama (The Prince Who Turns into a Frog) often moved away from the love story to tell human side of the characters which is a missed chance in this series. But all in all it is a very strong remake.
Star Power
The show is carried by the two main leads Fair Xing as Ye Qianyu and Garvey Jin Shan Junhao, who share amazing chemistry throughout the show and have done an exceptional job in portraying their respective roles.
Overall Opinion
Forget You Remember Love is a beautiful and dreamy drama that is surely worth a try. If you want some light-hearted romance with a shade of drama and a bit of patience, this series is the right one for you.
