Many Countries Have Compulsory Enlistment Of Youth, Especially Males, Into Military Services For A Certain Period. South Korea Is One Such Country Where All Males Between 18-28 Years And Physically Fit Are Required To Serve In The Military For Almost One And A Half To Two Years. This Mandate Includes Every South Korean Citizen, Including Our Favorite Korean Celebrities. According To A New Bill Passed In South Korea, Celebrities Can Postpone Their Enrolment Into The Military Until 30 If They Have A Valid Reason. Let Us Look At The Top Ten K-Pop Stars Enlisted For Military Service In 2022-2023.

1. Kai (Exo)

Kim Jong-In Or Kai Is A South Korean Actor, Dancer, And Singer. Kai Is A Member Of The Famous K-Pop Boy Band Exo, Exo-K, And Also The South Korean Group Superm. Pyo Ji-Hoon, Popular As P.O. Is A Rapper, Actor, Singer, And Member Of The K-Pop Group Block B. P.O. Received Notice For His Mandatory Military Service In 2021 But Applied For A Postponement To Focus On His Growing Career. He Was Granted Postponement Till The End Of 2021. P.O Enlisted In The Defense Services On March 28, 2022. He Recorded His Last Show ‘Amazing Saturday’ In March, Three Days Before His Enrolment Date

 

4. Song Kang

Song Kang Is A Rising South Korean Actor And Is Popularly Known As The ‘Son Of Netflix’ As Most Of His Series Are Aired On Netflix. Song Has Enacted In Some Famous Series Like Sweet Home, Love Alarm, And Nevertheless. These Series Are Among The Globally Most Watched Top Ten K- Dramas On Netflix. Song Needs To Enter The Army Before The End Of 2022 As Per The Country’s Mandate Unless He Decides To Defer It For Some Time. Nam Da Reum Was Born In February 2002 And Began His Acting Career As A Child Artist With The Television Drama Boys Over Flowers. Nam Enacted As The Young Version Of The Male Protagonist In Popular Television Series. Nam Gained Popularity For His Performance In Pinocchio In 2014. He Has Graced The Small Screen With His Acting In Many Dramas, Namely While You Were Sleeping, Come And Hug Me, Start-Up, And Doom At Your Service, To Name A Few. Nam Announced His Entertainment Hiatus As He Joined His Compulsory Military Service On February 8, 2022.

 

7. Ravi (Vixx)

Ravi Is A Beloved South Korean Rapper, Songwriter, And Singer. Ravi Is One Of The Members Of The K-Pop Boy Band Vixx And Also The Founder Of The Record Label Groovl1n. Apart From His Singing Career, Ravi Was Also Associated For More Than 2 Years With The Television Show 2 Days And 1 Night. The Rapper Announced In May That He Would Be Taking A Break From All His Present Projects As He Soon Needs To Enlist In The Army.

Nam Joo Hyuk Of ‘Start Up’ Fame Began His Career As A Model Before Achieving Overwhelming Success As An Actor. He Debuted In Acting With The Television Series The Idle Mermaid And Got His First Break In Films With The Movie, The Great Battle. In April 2022, Bagged A Leading Role In The Drama Vigilante. This Might Be The Last Project For The Actor Before He Goes On A Hiatus To Serve His Mandatory Military Service, Which Is Due By December 2022.

 

10. Won Pil

South Korean Rock Band Day 6 Debuted In 2015 With Their First Album, The Day. It Became A Chartbuster Within A Week Of Its Release. Won Pil Is The Band’s Keyboardist And Is Also A Famous Singer And Songwriter. Won Released His First Solo Album, Pilmography, In February 2022, Earning A Number One Spot On The Gaon Album Chart. After The Release Of His Album, Won Announced That He Would Be Joining The Navy To Serve His Period And Enlisted In The Following Month On March 28, 2022.
