Article: Top 10 Unique K-Pop Group Light Sticks

Light sticks are a staple in k-pop. Generally, light sticks are portable lamps that fans can use to show their support for their favorite artists. Each group also has a representative color and symbol, often incorporated into the light stick design. Big Bang member g-dragon invented the K-pop light stick. Since then, almost every group has adopted the concept of the light stick to feel closer to their fandom. There have been many such unique designs.

Join us as we jot down ten of our most favorite brilliant and unique kpop light stick designs.

1. B.A.P.

We're starting the list with a somewhat controversial light stick. This funky, fluorescent green design was not an instant hit with the public. However, what many people miss is that figure is reminiscent of the 'Matoki doll'. Furthermore, the green color also has an essential significance for the fandom as it is the group's representative color. The Matoki Doll is also considered an icon for the group.

2. 2NE1

The 2NE1 light stick entails a set of angel wings on an upside-down heart. The design is chic but edgy akin to the group's musical identity. The lamp brilliantly lit up their exuberant concerts in pink and purple hues. Unfortunately, the product has been out of production since the group's disbandment.

3. Day6

Day 6 went with a revolutionary design for their light stick. They passed on the usual portable lamp design and came up with something more practical; a wrist band. Well, not precisely because you cannot use it to tell the time. The centerpiece consists of light instead of a watch. The wristband may not function as a clock, but in a Day6 concert, you will not feel the need to look at one.

4. BlackPink

The BlackPink Hammer Bong is particularly special to fans because the members themselves designed it. The light stick doubles up as a toy hammer. Upon being hit, it makes a sound similar to little children's footwear. Now, that's the kind of duality only BlackPink can produce.

5. Itzy

Itzy's light ring is yet another innovative design from a JYPE group. The shape is similar to a doughnut or a tambourine. The light ring has a sleek white design with blue light emitting from it. What's more? Midzys can also use it as a ring light! So, while you wait for the concert venues to open up, you can use the light stick for clicking selfies or making vlogs instead.

6. Golden Child

While we have seen many bizarre light stick designs in K-pop, Golden Child's rune bong truly takes the cake. While the design might seem usual from a distance, it takes the shape of a bowling pin when held upside down. The bowling pin symbolizes the ten members of the group.

7. BTOB

The BTOB light stick comes in a saxophone shape. The light stick is classy looking with its blue and white design. It perfectly captures the essence of the group who are known for their ballads and powerful vocal performances. The group wanted the light stick to inspire their fans

8. Cherry Bullet

Cherry Bullet's light stick resembles a gun. Well, a water gun. The group decided to go with the latter as a real gun may be triggering to some people. However, instead of water, the Cherry Bullet light stick emits light.

9. Loona

The Loona light stick is quite prominent in the fandom. Literally. It is enormous in capital letters. The Orbit Crown is over 1 foot and 5 inches or 43.5 cm long. The centerpiece consists of a clear crystal gem. A regal golden crown surrounds the rock. The light stick also has 12 different color settings. Each of which represents the 12 members of the group

10. Dreamcatcher

Alas, The Orbit Crown's glory could only last so long as it was dethroned by dreamcatcher's light stick soon after. The light stick is over 78.5 cm long, almost double the Loona light stick length. However, the design is not all about its length. It has a sleek, attractive body with red accents. It can produce three different colors; red, blue and yellow. It also has the group member's names engraved on the handle.
