10. G-Dragon

Meet the famous South Korean rapper and songwriter, Kwon Ji-young alias G-Dragon (born August 18, 1988) was better known as “King of K-pop.” He started his debut in 2006 and became the leader of “Big Bang” (a South Korean Boy band group). “Heartbreaker,” his first solo album, was released in 2009 and became the Soloist best-selling album. This album got him the album of the year in the Mnet Asian Music Awards. He became an entrepreneur with his personnel fashion brand named “PeaceMinusOne.” He won many Music and Entertainment awards. He is one of the most followed K-pop idols who has over 19.9 million followers on Instagram.

 

9. Kim Hyung-Joong

Kim Hyung-joong is the second male lead (Yoon Ji-hu) of the famous K-drama “Boys over Flowers.” He was born on June 6, 1986, and is well known for his acting in the Korean drama “Playful Kiss” and as a singer and a songwriter. He debuted in 2005 as a member of SS501 (a South Korean Boy band group). SS501 received an award for a Japan single “Kokoro” at the Japan Gold Disc award. He also made his first Single album in Japanese, which was the first time an artist from South Korea took the 1st spot in the Oricon DVD chart.

 

8. Suga

Suga is a member of the most popular worldwide famous South Korean Boy band BTS. He was born on March 9, 1993, a songwriter, a South Korean rapper, and a record producer. His Korean name is Min-Yoon-gi. When he was young, he developed an interest in rap by hearing “Ragga Muffin” by Stony Skunk. In 2013, he debuted as a BTS member (Big Hit Music-HYBE labels). In 2016, via Soundcloud (online audio distribution platform), he released a self-titled (AGUST D) mixtape. Later he re-released the mixtape, which reached #3 on Billboard’s World Album charts. He underwent surgery by the end of 2020 in his left shoulder and took a break for a full recovery. By 2021, he recomposed Samsung’s ringtone and was made know at the event of Samsung’s “Unpacked 2021”. Fans all over the world say Suga is the best rapper of BTS.

 

7. J-Hope

He chose the name J-Hope for himself as he wanted to be the hope and light for his fans. His Korean name is Jung Ho-seok. He was born on February 18, 1994. Hope is the main dancer of BTS. He has an older sister and is well known for his dance skills and has won many local prizes when he was young. He got first in the 2008 National dance competition. He released “Hope World,” his first solo mixtape worldwide in 2018. In collaboration with Becky G, J-Hope released a single named “Chicken Noodle Soup” in 2019. The single made J-Hope the first member of BTS to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 within that week as a solo artist. He is very talented in rapping, singing and most lovable for his cheerful smile and his personality.

 

6. Jeno

Lee Je-no started his career in many commercials as a child model.  He was born on April 23,  2000, and got introduced as one of the first members of SM Rookies in 2013. In the year 2016, he debuted in the 3rd subunit of NCT- NCT Dream. Songs like “We go up,” and “Boom” are famous songs of NCT Dream.  He is the main rapper and sub-vocalist. Jeno also joined NCT U in the albums Resonance Pt.1 and Resonance Pt.2. Recently the well-known songs of NCT Dream are “Hello Future” and “Hot Sause.”

Oh Se-hun is the most lovable maknae (youngest member) of EXO, born on April 12, 1994. In 2013, he graduated from the School of Performing Arts (Seoul). He has an older sibling. He got introduced as a fifth member of EXO in 2012. He got cast as the male lead in the film “Catman.” Sehun is the male lead of the upcoming movie “The Pirates: Goblin Flag.” He was famous as a Model and was introduced as the Best Dressed Man by Louis Vuitton’s show in the years 2017 and 2018. Sehun is the second male idol to be on the cover of Vogue Korea after G-Dragon. He was a cast member of Busted, a Netflix TV Program that started in 2018 and ended in January 2021. Park Ji-min is the third youngest member of BTS, born on October 13, 1995. He has a younger sibling. Jimin got graduated from Korean Arts High School in 2014. He and Jung Kook released a song called “Christmas Day,” the Korean rendition of “Mistletoe” by Justin Bieber. He writes the lyrics of Christmas. He has his own dancing skills and his famous song “Filter.” He has spent more than 50 weeks on Billboard’s World Digital Song sales by March 2021. He emerged on variety shows like “Refrigerator,” “Hello Counselor,” etc. Jimin participated in a dance duet with Taemin from Shinee KBS Song Festival in December 2016.

 

3. Baekhyun

Byun Baek-Hyun is the coolest and most multitalented person of EXO. He was born on May 6, 1992. He debuted in 2012 as a member of EXO under SM Entertainment and its sub-unit EXO-CBX in 2016. Baekhyun has an older sibling. Baekhyun introduced his first solo song named “Beautiful” for EXO’s web drama EXO Next Door. EXO-CBX includes him, Chen and Xiumin released “Hey Mama!”. His popular solo songs are “UN Villag,” “Candy,” and ‘Bambi.” He got enlisted on May 6, 2021, for mandatory military service. He is also the leader of the South Korean boy band SuperM, which got debuted in 2019 under SM Entertainment. SuperM has seven members, including him (as a leader). Baekhyun also acted in a supporting role in Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. He won the Popularity Award, Actor, and Best Rookie Award for the movie in 2016. In 2018, he won Best Male Solo in the Soompi Award ceremony.

Jeon Jung-kook is the treasured maknae (youngest member) of BTS, born on September 1, 1997. Kook is the main vocalist of the BTS. He got inspired by G-Dragon’s performance on “Heartbreaker” and wished to become a singer. At a collaboration stage of MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards, Jung kook performed the song “We Don’t Talk Anymore” with the original singer Charlie Puth. In 2019, Jung kook was the most Google-searched Korean pop male idol. He also won the Global Instagrammer award in 2019 at MTV Millennial Awards ceremony.

V means Peace and Victory. He had a hard time in childhood and was raised by his grandmother. His Korean name is Kim Tae-hung, born on December 30, 1995. V is the sub-vocalist of the South Korean boy group BTS, and also, he is the second-youngest member of the group. V has two younger siblings. V started his acting career in the historical drama “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth” as a supporting role with his real name.  V was the one who coined the “I purple you” phrase during the group’s fan meeting.  After that, it became the symbol of the BTS group and its fans. He won the Best Idol Actor award at the Soompi Award ceremony in 2018.
