When we hear of K-pop, the first thing that strikes our mind is BTS, Black Pink, EXO, Twice, etc. However, every year hundreds of K-Pop groups release new videos to make it big in the competitive K-Pop industry. But while successful groups like BTS and Black Pink are out there breaking records with each of their music videos, there are countless other K-Pop groups who struggle even to get a decent number of views. Ten such underrated K-pop groups have been listed below which, deserve everyone’s attention.   

1. VAV

They are a seven-member group that comes under A Team Entertainment. They debuted with the mini-album “Under The Moonlight” on October 31, 2015. They also visited India to meet their fans, known as VAMPZ. The members are St. Van, Jacob, Ace, Ayno, Lou, Baron and Ziu.

 

2. NU’EST

They are a five-member boy group consisting of leader JR and members Aron, Baekho, Minhyun, and Ren. They come under Pledis Entertainment. They debuted with their first single called ‘Face’ on March 15, 2012. They are the company’s first boy band.

 

3. SF9

They are a nine-member boy band that comes under FNC Entertainment. The group’s members are Dawon, Zuho, Youngbin, Inseong, Jaeyoon, Rowoon, Taeyang, Hwiyoung, and Chani. They debuted in 2016 with their single album “Feeling Sensation.” They also won the Rising Star prize at the Asia Artist Awards in 2018.

 

4. ASTRO

This six-member boyband debuted in 2016, with the EP “Spring Up” under Fantagio Entertainment. The group consists of Moon Bin, Rocky, JinJin, MJ, Cha Eun-woo, and Yoon San Ha. Their hit track “Hide & Seek” was nominated for the Best New Artist prize at the Melon Music Awards in 2016, and also at the Gaon Chart Music Awards in 2017.

 

5. The Rose

The band consists of four members: Woosung, Dojoon, Hajoon, and Jaehyung. They debuted with the single “Sorry” under J&Star Company on August 3rd, 2017. They are currently an individual group following the members’ request of their contract’s termination due to mismanagement.

 

6. Kard

Kard is a mix-gender band consisting of two female and two male members. The group members are BM, Somin, J. Seph, and Jiwoo. They officially debuted in 2017 under DSP Media with the EP “Hola Hola.”

 

7. In2IT

The six-member band debuted in the year 2017 with “Amazing” under MMO Entertainment. The group consists of Hwang In-ho, Han Hyun-Uk, Yoo Ji-Ahn, Jung Yeon-tae, Lee In-Pyo, and Isaac Voo. In 2019, they visited India and won so many hearts with their excellent performance on “The Jawaani Song” from the popular movie Student of the Year 2.

 

8. VANNER

VANNER is a 5-member South Korean boy group managed by VT Entertainment. They made their debut in the year 2019 with the single “Better Do Better.” The members are Taehwan, Gon, Hyeseong, Ahxian and Yeonggwang. They have also held concerts in Tokyo as a part of their pre-debut promotions

They are a five-member boy group. They debuted in the year 2015 and are managed by JYP Entertainment.
