This is a 2013 movie based on a real-life incident. Yong gu is a single father who is a mentally challenged person and has a six-year-old daughter named Ye Sung and they share an unconditional bond. Yong gu is accused of a crime he didn't commit and is sent to prison. He shares a unique bond with his five inmates and they help him meet his daughter in the cell. A very heart-warming movie that will melt your heart.

 

3. The Way Home 

A 2002 super hit movie, starring Kim Eun-boon a grandmother living in a rural village of South Korea and her young grandchild from an urban city. To get back on her feet, the mother leaves her son to her 78-year-old mother to talk care of him. She doesn't speak much and the issue of compatibility between the urban grandchild and his grandmother is shown. He throws all sorts of tantrums but eventually, the unconditional love of his halmoni makes him warm towards her. A great movie to watch on festive days.

 

4. Wonderful Nightmare 

A 2015 Rom-Com starring Uhm Jung Hwa as a lawyer. She gets in an accident and dies. When she wakes up in heaven she gets to know that it was an error and another person of the same name was supposed to die. To hide the mistake, she has to live the life of another woman for one month and that’s when her life changes and she faces some challenges she never did such as dealing with her teenage daughter, six-year-old son, and a simple husband.

 

5. Midnight Runners 

A 2016 hit starring our favorite Park Seo Joon and Kang Ha Neul, the ultimate duo in an action-comedy film. Both are trainees at Korean National Police Academy, where one midnight on the way back to the academy, they witness a crime and as a police instinct they decide to find out the criminals with their amateur training and they find out and link-ups will surprise you!

 

6. Scandal Makers

The Story is about a teen idol who is now in his thirties working as an RJ. A young mother sends him letters regularly and told him she is meeting her father which turns out to be the RJ himself. In shock and hard to accept, the DNA test reveals the truth. With the rising fame of the RJ, he worries that the paternity test scandal will get revealed. The RJ’s father also gets to know that he became a grandfather and later they all share a sweet bond and live as a complete family finally.

 

7. Hello Ghost 

A comedy movie with a very heart-touching end is a perfect movie to watch with the family. Plots set as a man tries to kill himself multiple times but couldn't. After a recent attempt something happened and he could see ghosts now. The ghosts won't leave him unless he fulfills their wishes and he agrees to do so. In this process, he falls for a nurse who saves him in the hospital. The end is full of surprise and emotions.

A 2019 Oscar award-winning movie is a must-watch. A dark thriller comedy story depicts the difference in the lives of the poor family the Kim's and the rich family the Park's and their day-to-day life problems. One day he falls for a woman named Yi Soo but the problems he faces and overcoming them are satisfactory.
