The K-Pop genre is as diverse as its popular. Bursting with talent, new and unfamiliar artists alike are constantly trying to bring their A-game to this electrifying scene of music. Successfully having had a go at it, some groups have finally caught up to their well-earned gift of glory. In this fast-changing industry, they have found their time to shine. On our list are starring ten awe-striking K-Pop Groups who smashed it out of the park. Carefully curetted into a list, here are the Top 10 Groups that are taking over right now -

1. Enhypen

Formed on a survival show I-Land, ENHYPEN (엔하이픈’en-hai-peun’) is 2020 boy group under Belift Lab. Consisting of 7 members namely Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon and Ni-ki; their unique name sends the message of ”just like hyphens connect different words to make new meanings, the members will connect, discover each other, and grow together.” Debuting on November 30, 2020, the grow blew up with their magnifying discography.

 

2. Ateez

Ateez (에이티즈) formed under KQ Entertainment, made their official debut on October 24th, 2018, with “Treasure” and “Pirate King”. The group, formerly called KQ Fellas consists of 8 members: Kang Yeosang, Choi San, Kim Hongjoong, Park Seonghwa, Jeong Yunho, Song Mingi, Jung Wooyoung, and Choi Jongho.

 

3. Purple Kiss

Already attracting attention for their impressive moves and vocals, PURPLE K!SS is a girl group to be on the lookout for. Their senior group, MAMAMOO, however, known for not limiting themselves to a concept has already made a name for themselves in the scene. Whether the same fate will fall upon PURPLE K!SS is a question up in the air.

 

4. P1harmony

P1Harmony (피원하모니) under FNC entertainment, is a six-member boy band with its members- Keeho, Intak, Soul, Theo, Jiung and Jongseob. Making their debut in October 2020, with the EP “Disharmony: Stand Out.”, they soon released another album on April 20, 2021. “Disharmony: Break Out” was a major hit among the fans.

 

 

5. Mirae

A South Korean boy group under DSP Media, MIRAE (미래소년) is a group that consists of 7 members: Lee Junhyuk, Son Dongpyo, Khael, Park Siyoung, Lien, Jang Yubin and Yoo Douhyun. Formerly recognised as DSP N, DSP Sprouts (DSP새 싹즈) and DSP Warriors, the boyband debuted on the 17th of March 2021.

 

6. Sf9

SF9 (Sensational Feeling Nine) ( 에스에프나인) debuted on October 5, 2016, under FNC Entertainment. In spring 2016 they participated in FNC Entertainment's survival show d.o.b (Dance or Band) and won the show, therefore being allowed to make their debut. On January 12th 2017, the 100th day since their debut, they announced their official Fan club name as ”Fantasy" (판타지 in Korean), standing for “Future, Accompany, Next, Together, Affect, SF9, You”.

 

7. Weeekly

Comprising of Lee Soojin, Shin Jiyoon, Monday, Park Soeun, Lee Jaehee, Jihan, and Zoa- WEEEKLY (위클리) (formerly PlayM Girls and FAVE Girls) is a seven-member girl group under Play M Entertainment. They made their debut on June 30, 2020, whose title track Tag Me was an instant hit.

 

8. TXT

Hailing from Big Hit Entertainment, Tomorrow X Together, abbreviated as TXT, is a South Korean band. Successor to BTS, The group consists of the following members- Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Huening Kai. Making their debut in March with the EP The Dream Chapter: Star, they proved their skill and instilled excitement for more to come in the fans.

 

9. The Rose

The Rose (더 로즈) is a South Korean rock band under J&Star Entertainment is currently comprised of four talented members. Originally a three-member band called Windfall, It was comprised of Dojoon, Hajoon, and Jaehyeong until Woosung joined them. The band debuted on August 3, 2017, with a music video for their single, ‘Sorry’

 

10. Cosmic Girls

Popularly also known as WJSN (우주소녀), Cosmic Girls, is a South Korean-Chinese girl group under Starship Entertainment and Yuehua Entertainment which originally debuted as a 12 membered girl group with a mini-album on February 25, 2016, which later by Yoo Yeonjung’s arrival became a  13 member girl group. With four unique units: wonder, joy, sweet and natural, Cosmic Girls is approaching K-Pop in their fresh style.
