Korean television series has gained popularity in the past few years among their audience. But unfortunately, many actors /actresses and singers have left us at a young age. Their sudden demise left us shocked and in disappointment. From Song Yoo- Jung to Tany, here is the list of top ten celebrities who bid farewell too soon.

1. Song Yoo-Jung

The actress died on January 25, 2021. It was announced by her agency Sublime Artist Agency. The cause for death was never revealed. The Actress was 26 when she died. It was believed by initial media reports that she took her own life. She gained viewers from her performance in “Make a Wish.” Besides, she was a cast member in the television series, School 2017. Apart from her acting and modelling career, she was a vocal advocate for people with disabilities and the ambassador for a South Korean group called Warm Accompaniment.

 

2. Oh In Hye

Korean actress has been found unconscious in her apartment in Songdo International Business District, Yeonsu, Incheon, on September 14, 2020, and later died in the hospital. According to police, the 34 years old actress had committed suicide. She was a major in broadcasting & entertainment. She had roles in various movies, including Sin of a Family, A Journey with Korean Masters, and Eating, Talking, Faucking.

 

3. Yohan

Yohan or Kim Jeong-hwan was a singer under KJ Music Entertainment. He was one of the members of a boyband TST and a former member of the boy group NOM who died at the age of 28 on June 17, 2020. The reason for his death was kept as secret upon the family’s request.

 

4. Park Ji-Hoon

The model cum actor Park Ji-hoon is popularly known for his performance in the television series ‘’Chicago Typewriter”, died at the age of 31on May 13, 2020, due to stomach cancer. The actor's family announced the news of his demise on social media.

 

5. Moon Ji-Yoon

South Korean actor and model best known for his supporting roles in Cheese in the Trap and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo died on March 18, 2020, at 36. His agency Dream Stone Entertainment stated that he died due to sore throat conditions. His parents held the funeral privately. Park Hae-jin, who worked with the actor in Cheese in the Trap, described him as a “hardworking, talented actor.” Lee Ki-woo, who appeared with Moon, marked him as an actor whose “great pure passion shone".

 

6. Go Soo-Jung

Goo Soo Jung died on February 7, 2020. Her agency, Story J Company, stated that she died due to a chronic unspecified illness, she was 24. Her parents held the funeral privately. The actress and model appeared in 'Goblin' as a ghost and 'Solomon’s Perjury' as a supporting role. She also appeared in a music video for BTS’s song ‘’With Seoul”.

 

7. Cha In-Ha

Cha In-ha passed away at the age of 27 in December 2019. The demise came as a shock to everyone. The cause for death was never revealed; the actor was found dead in his house in the Gangnam District of Seoul.  A police spokesman stated that Cha left “no will or final message”, and his family has requested not to conduct an autopsy. The actor featured in films like Temperature of Love, Clean with Passion, The Banker. He was in the actor group Surprise U.

 

8. Choi Jin-Ri

Better known by her stage name Sulli, Choi Jin-Ri committed suicide as stated by the reports; on October 14, 2019, at approximately 3:20 p.m., He Manager found Sulli hanging at her residence. She was only 25.

 

9. Jonghyun

Kim Jong-hyun, better known as Jonghyun, was a member of the hugely popular band SHINee; he committed suicide at the age of 27 on 18 December 2017. Jonghyun was found by the police around 6:10 PM in an unconscious state in the apartment he rented in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam District in south-eastern Seoul.

 

10. Tany

Tany, born Kim Jin-soo, was a K-pop star who tragically passed away at 22 in a car crash. The agency of the K-pop star, HOM Company, delivered a statement describing what happened as stated, while on the Namhae Expressway, the car caught on fire after crashing into a structure. He rose to fame with the song “Always Remember” in 2016.
