The story inside two worlds, a real world and one alternate universe set inside a webtoon named “W.” The writer of the webtoon mysteriously goes missing while writing the last chapter. His daughter Oh Yeon Joo (Han Hyo Joo) upon entering his room finds a strange hand coming out of the drawing tablet holding onto her and pulls her in.  She sees a severely wounded man on a rooftop of a building. Later she realizes that the man she had just saved is the main character of her father’s webtoon Kang Cheol (Lee Jong Suk). She soon realizes that the only way to go out and enter in the webtoon again depends on Kang Cheol’s feelings. This unique plotline, the chemistry between the leads and the struggles of female lead makes this drama funny as well as romantic.

 

8. What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?

Based on the webtoon by the same name by Jung Kyung Yoon. When his secretary Kim Mi So (Park Min Young) who has been there for nine years suddenly hands in her resignation letter saying that she wants to get married and settle down, Lee Young Joon (Park Seo Joon), vice-chairman of a major corporation, his world gets shaken. He tries whatever he can to get her to stay. He asks his friend for help and suggestions and on a whim, he asks her to marry him. Her private life is based on a Korean novel “Noona Fan Dot Com” written by Kim Sung Yeon. This 16-episode series revolves around the life of a fanatic fangirl of kpop idol Cha Shi An (Jung Jae Won) of the group White Ocean and at the same time, working as the chief curator of Chaeum Art Gallery. When the new director Ryan Gold (Kim Jae Wook) suggests he and Sung Deok Mi (Park Min Young) fake date in order to ward off Shi-An’s fans who may harm her due to the rumor of them dating, during this they eventually fall in love.
