Many groups have come forward and made a name for themselves and many of these groups failed to find the desired success right away, Still, some groups managed to debut with a song that cemented their reputation in the industry and becomes their identity, making them stand out among their peers for years to come.

1. Replay - SHINee

5. Adore U - Seventeen

The title track of their debut EP ‘17 Carat’ was released on May 29, 2015, under Pledis Entertainment. The lead single was written by the members – Woozi, S.coups and Yeon Dong-geon, and Hoshi participated in the choreography of Adore U. The Ep peaked at 4 on Gaon and sold 82,972 copies.

 

6. Bad Girl Good Girl - Miss A

One of the most iconic debuts became an instant success, earning the group a number 1 on the Gaon Digital Chart. Bad Girl, Good Girl was released in July 2010 and was the lead single off their debut EP Bad but Good under their label JYP Entertainment Label. The group won the Song of the Year award at the Mnet Asian Music Awards and was nominated for Song of the year in Korean Music Awards.

 

7. We Belong Together - BIGBANG

BIGBANG debuted in 2006 with "We Belong Together”, featuring Park Bom of 2N1E before her official debut, a song from their self-titled single album. This album was released under YG Entrainment and stayed on the music charts for up to eight months. The song was composed by member GDragon, who wrote the lyrics together with T.O.P.

 

8. Never Again- SS501

SS501 debuted on June 8, 2005, with their first EP, Kyeonggo (Korean: "경고,” "Warning") and the title track ‘Never Again’, which became their first number-one song. The way gained popularity and was a contributing factor in pushing the group to mainstream success, winning many rookie awards after their debut.

 

9. Warrior- B.A.P

In January 2016, the song was B.A.P’s first single and the track from their first EP, Warrior under TS Entertainment. Warrior was positively received by critics and praised by netzines for its powerful fiery image on their live performances and music videos, making everyone look forward to their future releases.

 

10. Dalla Dalla – ITZY

Itzy debuted under JYP Entertainment with Dalla Dalla from their debut single album Itz Different in February 2019. The song was a commercial success in South Korea despite the mixed reviews, peaking at number two on both the Gaon Digital Chart and Billboard's K-pop Hot 100 chart. 'Dalla Dalla' was given platinum certification by Korea Music Content Association (KMCA) for 100 million streams just nine months after the group's debut.
