With a rise in Asian dramas around the globe, Thailand has gained a lot of recognition overseas. Generally referred to as Lakers. Mostly the adaptation of pre-existing novels and even based on some dramas of another country. 1. Mario Maurer
This, 32-year-old Thai actor, is of Chinese and German descent. He is a model turned into an actor. He already had a modelling career when he was 16. He is best known for his role in Crazy little Things called First love (2010), which was a huge success. He never wanted to try acting but only did it because he trusted the director. He’s interested in skateboarding, Hip-hop, and cars. His brother Marco is also a hip-hop artist and an actor.
2. Baifern Pimchanok
The 28-year-old actress and model are best known for her role as Nam in the Thai movie Crazy little thing called first love (2010). Since 2016, she has decided to be a freelancer actress. She has been nominated and won many awards for her acting since 2011. She gets selected as the best villain character for her role in Lhong fai.
3. Pirat Nitipaisalkul
Better known as Mike D’Angelo is of Thai and Chinese descent. This 31-year-old actor is an actor, singer, and model who worked in Chinese drama, my amazing boyfriend (2019). He also confirmed working in the U.S film the misfits (2021). He is famous for his role in Full house (2014), my little princess. He has a son, Maxwell D. Angelo Casinghini, with her ex-girlfriend.
4. Bei Thassapak Hsu
Born as Xu Zhi Xian in Taiwan is an actor, model, and singer. He works in China, Thailand, and Korean dramas as well. He is prominent for his role in Chinese theater; my girlfriend is an alien (2019). He is of Thai and Taiwanese descent. He moved from Taiwan to Thailand to debut as a singer when he was 14. He married to Thai actress and model Gubgib and has two daughters, Papao and Salina.
5. Prin Suparat
Better known as Mark Prin is a member of 4+1 channel three superstars. He is of Thai and Chinese descent born in Thailand. He has appeared in many endorsements, MVs, dramas, and movies. He is famous for his role in My husband-in-law (2020).
6. Davika Hoorne
Better known as Mai Davika Hoorne, Hoorne is of Thai and Belgian descent. She made her debut with the Ngao Kammathep as a lead role in 2010. She has also worked in Pee Mak (2013), Thailand’s most famous film of all time. The 29-year-old model and actress also collaborated in the MV No way with Korean singer Ali and with Vietnamese singer in MV Run now.
7. Nadech Kugimiya
He is a 29-year-old Thai model and an actor. He is of Thai and Austrian descent. Her biological aunt adopted him. At the age of 17, he started his modelling career. In 2010 he made his debut as a lead actor in Ngao Rak Luang Jai. He is also a member of the 4+1 channel three superstars. He has received more than 130 awards and is a very often seen personality as he has done endorsements with many brands like- Shopee, OPPO, 7- eleven and many more.
8. Mew Suppasit
Also known as Mew, he is the CEO of Mew Suppasit studio. After releasing his debut album, 365, in 2021, he became the first Thai artist to enter Billboard’s world digital song sales chart. The 30-year-old actor, model, and singer have mastered Industrial engineering. He started his acting career from a Thai BL series I am your king (2017). He is best known for his roles in the BL series TharnType, which gained massive success in Thailand and internationally. Due to his academic background, he often gets invited as a guest speaker for seminars.
9. Sushar Manaying
This 33-year-old Thai actress and singer started to gain recognition after her lead role in Yes or no (2010). Often called Aom, the actress is of Thai and Chinese descent. Internationally appreciated her after her lead role in Full house (2014), a Thai adaptation of South Korean Drama. She gets cast in the Chinese horror movie Haunted room 2(2017).
10. Patcharapa Chaichua
Better known as Aum, she is a 42-year-old Thai actress. Despite being in her 40’s has received the title of the sexiest woman for three consecutive years (2004-2007). She started to gain appreciation after she led the role in So Sanae Ha (2003) that made her win the Top award for best leading actress.
