They have to go through very intense training at this young age, and after the workout, they make their debut. But some K-pop Idols broke the norms and debuted older than average age. Despite debuting at an older l age, they established themselves and received their fan's love and support. So here are some idols that trained and debuted at a later age and proved themselves.

1. Kim Young-Sun 

Kim Young-sun is also known as Solar as her stage name. She became a trainee in 2011, when she was 20 years old, under RBW entertainment. After three years of training at the age of 23, she debuted as a Group leader, the main vocalist of the girl group "Mamamoo."

 

2. J. Seph

Seph debuted with the K-pop band "Kard" as the main rapper and lead dancer in 2016. When he was 19 years old, he became a trainee under DSP media and trained there for five years. After his training, he ultimately made his debut at 24 years old, which is quite old for a K-pop idol to debut.

 

3. Sandra Park

Sandra gets named by her stage name Dara. She was a former member of "2NE1". Sandra made her debut as a member of the K-pop girl group in 2009 when Sandra Park was 25 years old. Before debuting in the K-pop industry, she was a celebrity in the Philippines.

 

4. Park Ji-Young

Park Ji-Young, also known as Kahi, is a former "After School" member. She made her debut as a group leader and the group's oldest member in 2009. At the time of her debut, she was 29 years old. After leaving "After School," she had joined an agency and recruited members for the girl group.

 

5. Park So-Jin 

Sojin debuted as the group leader, lead singer, and the oldest member of the K-pop girl group "Girl's Day" in 2010. At the time of her debut, she was about 25 years. But debuting at a later age didn't affect his career, and she made her mark.

9. Bae Joo-Hyun 

Red velvet's Joo- Hyun is also known as Irene. She is the group leader and eldest member of the group. Joo joined SM Entertainment as a trainee at 18, just after finishing high school in 2009, and did her training for five years. After the training, she appeared with her debut as a leader, lead vocalist, and rapper.

 

10. Park Joon

Park Joon went to South Korea in 1997 to make a pop music group that has an amalgamation of both Korean music and western culture. But due to some reasons, it couldn't work. In 1999 at the age of 30, he debuted with the K-pop group "g.o.d" as the leader and rapper.
