Article: 10 Underrated Korean Bands

Given the intense competition in the music industry, it frequently becomes challenging for K-pop rookie groups to establish a name for themselves. Some bands do not receive the attention they would like, which would help them rise to the top of platforms and charts. Let's look at ten incredibly underappreciated K-pop rookie bands.

1. Tempest

One of the music industry's most promising bands, Tempest, made their debut on March 2, 2022. Its ‘It's Me, It's We’ debut album, which featured the hit tune Bad News as the lead single, received high praise.

2. Weki Meki

Ji Su-Yeon, Elly, Choi Yoo-Jung, Kim Do-Yeon, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy are the eight members of the Weki Meki group, which is run by Fantaigo Entertainment. They first appeared in 2017. Weki Meki is an impressive performer and has a broad concept. Despite the group's unfortunate underappreciation since its debut, diligent artists never let that stop them from creating excellent music. Weki Meki is credited with creating the first K-pop throwback trends. The girls were often tinkering with their vocalizations. However, frequently altering several concepts jeopardizes your prospects in life. Weki Meki serves as an illustration of such. The group began changing the themes of their songs to attempt new things, which unfortunately led to them being less well-known.

3. Golden Child

Woollim Entertainment's outstanding members Daeyeol, Y, Jangjun, Tag, Seungmin, Jaehyun, Jibeom, Donghyun, Joochan, and Bomin were founded. On August 28, 2017, they made their debut with "DamDaDi." This gifted group originally had eleven members. However, Jaeseok was forced to leave the group owing to health difficulties, which were made public on January 6, 2018. Golden Child, however, was the first contestant to be eliminated on Road To Kingdom. Therefore, despite having an opportunity to showcase their talent, this group is underappreciated. They all pulled off three incredible comebacks in 2020. The first two were sinister ideas, and the third was Pump It Up.

4. Gugudan

These stunning girls, Mimi, Hana, Haebin, Nayoung, Sejeong, Sally, Soyee, Mina, and Hyeyeon, made their debut on June 26, 2016, with the release of a mini-album called Act 1. Hyeyeon, the ninth member, regrettably left the group in 2018. The trio will break up by the end of 2020, according to Jellyfish Entertainment agency. They will still be bound by the contract as individual performers, as noted in the same statement. Members of Gugudan work extremely hard and receive a lot of support from their fans. They separated as a group after four years, which decreased their appeal.

5. Up10tion

Ten people make up the Top Media Entertainment group Up10tion, which consists of Jinhoo, Kuhn, Kogyeol, Wei, Bitto, Wooshin, Sunyoul, Gyujin, Hwanhee, and Xiao.
