As a celebrity you are always under a radar, a lot of the fans and people look up to their role models and celebrities. Sometimes these celebrities end up going down the wrong way and when this happen they are called out by their entire country. Many of the celebrities lose their reputation and their jobs for the slightest of the crimes. Here are some of the Korean celebrities who have committed some of the grave crimes and the after effect of their actions.

1. Ju Ji Hoon

Ju Ji Hoon, was last seen in Kingdom is an actor and model who was arrested by the cops on drug charges. He was arrested under the suspicion of selling ecstasy, and in 2009 he was sentenced to jail for half a year, and a suspension and 120 hours of community service was implied on him.

 

2. Lee Soo Geun

Lee Soo Geun is a Korean comedian who has been investigated under the suspicion of illegal gambling (sports) where it was found out that he was placing bets on football players from the United Kingdom. Some other people who were involved with him were also investigated. He was finally sentenced to eight months in prison and a probation period of two years.

 

3. Tony An

Tony An is a member of the boy band H.O.T. The singer was also in a dance music trio after their team disbanded. He currently runs an entertainment company after he attempted a solo career, but he was also investigated in the case of illegal online sports gambling and was sent to prison for half a year and a year of probation.

 

4. BIGBANG’s T.O.P.

T.O.P is a famous member of the boy band Big Bang, who surprised his fans when he got charged for the consumption of drugs. He got arrested for smoking pot, and then a few weeks later, he overdosed on prescription pills. After the incident, he was sentenced to prison for ten months and got a two-year probation.

 

5. S.E.S’s Shoo

S.E.S’s Shoo got caught up in gambling and also has a massive gambling debt that she needs to pay back due to her gambling issues. She has gambled overseas in places like Macao. In Korea, she has been sentenced to two years of probation and on repeated offenses six months of prison.

 

6. Seungri

The singer from Big Bang was investigated in the case of anti-prostitution. When things got out of hand for the singer following the scandal in the Burning Sun Club, he took to social media. On Instagram, he announced his retirement and was involved in another sex scandal. Due to increasing controversies, he finally retired.

 

7. Kang Ji Hwan

Kang Ji Hwan’s case has been out in public for a long time. The actor was arrested after allegations against him were raised by two of the employees who worked with him during his ongoing drama Joseon Survival, where he was replaced. The actor was sentenced to prison for two years and six months and probation for three years.

 

8. Kangin

Kangin didn’t face the brunt of his actions for a long time. He had allegations of drunk driving and hit and run accidents and also an assault case when he fought two men. These allegations were out in public, but no action was taken until Kangin himself decided to leave the boy band, Super Junior.

 

9. Kim Hyun Joong

One of the most shocking cases in a while came up when the famous K-Pop turned actor was investigated for an assault case. He was accused of physically assaulting his former girlfriend that left her bruised and bloodied. He later accepted the charges but gave the very lame excuse of practising martial arts for an upcoming movie and was tried in court.

 

10. Seven

Seven might have a promising career, given the fame and being compared to the legendary Rain, but the rivalry didn’t last for long. In 2013, the idol was caught visiting masseuse parlour which was a hidden prostitution hideout, and all of this happened when he was on a hiatus from his career as a military official.
