Korean dramas are famous worldwide. The serials are entertaining, and there are many outstanding performers that we constantly want to see more. However, the world can be harsh at times, and these gifted individuals are snatched from us far too soon.
10. EunB And RiSe
Two members of the South Korean group, 23-year-old Kwon Ri-sae, and 21-year-old Go Eun-bi, died in a tragedy in September 2014. Kwon Ri Sae, known as RiSe was taken to the hospital after the collision that killed EunB and had 10 hours of emergency brain surgery. She never gained consciousness after the crash and died four days later.
9. Lee Hye-Ryeon
According to reports, Lee Hye-Ryeon, a South Korean singer and actress whose stage name is U;Nee, was found hanging in her Seo-gu, Incheon residence in late January 2007. Even though her death was declared an apparent suicide, authorities claimed U;Nee left no note or testament. Officials also indicated that people close to U;Nee had alleged that she looked depressed and was influenced by internet criticism.
8. Go Soo Jung
Go Soo Jung died on February 7 of this year at the age of twenty-four. Jung was recognized for her work as a model and actor. She played Ghost in the famous drama Goblin. Jung died with a chronic disease; however, it was never revealed what sickness he had. Some speculated about her death, but fans quickly shut down the debate out of respect for her.
7. Cha In-Ha
In December of this year, the actor passed suddenly at 27. The reason for his death is not revealed. His death was the third in a series of unexpectedly young Korean drama stars' deaths. His death perplexed Fans, which prompted rumors of "copycat suicides." In-ha had played in films, including Temperature of Love, The Banker, and Clean with Passion for Now. He was filming Love with Flaws as Joo Won-Seok.
6. Tany
Tany's birth name was Kim Jin-soo. He was a solo K-pop artist who rose to prominence in 2016 after releasing "Always Remember." Tany was just 22 years old. On April 14, 2018, at 2:30 a.m., he was driving his car with another passenger when he crashed with a "structure." His car had been entirely wrecked. Only a few months before he died, his debut record was released.
5. Yohan
On June 16, Yohan, the young idol, passed away. He was born in the year 1992. He was a former member of the NOM group. According to the family's wishes, the reason for death was not divulged. Yohan's agency later verified the devastating unexpected news in a statement, "The bereaved family is in profound grief. We respectfully request that the media abstain from spreading speculations concerning the reason for Yohan's death". Yohan was 28 years old at the time. In 2017, he debuted as a member of the rising boy band, Top Secret.
4. Song Young Hak
Song Young Hak, a Korean actor, died on September 24, 2019. He was 42 years old when he died, and he died just nine days before his birthday. His reason for death was not revealed. Hak had been in many drama series, films, and plays. Prison Life of Fools, Live on Mars, and The Fiery Priest, are some of his recent roles.
3. Jong Hyun
The death of Kim Jong Hyun, the main singer of SHINee, was mourned by K-pop fans worldwide. The 27-year-old star, Jong Hyun, was found dead in his Seoul residence on December 18, 2017. His suicide drew international attention. Jong Hyun had written a buddy a 47-line suicide note two weeks before his death, requesting that it should be revealed after his death.
2. Choi Jin-Ri
Choi Jin-Ri, an actress, singer, and model was addressed by the stage name Sulli, died in October 2019. Sulli started her career as a child actress in the historical drama Ballad of Seodong in 2005. She then rose to prominence as a member of the K-pop group f(x). Sulli hung herself in her house. As she didn't attend her manager's calls, he went to her house to check why. There he found her dead.
1. Oh In Hye
According to reports, oh In Hye committed suicide on September 14, 2020. She was found unconscious in her residence and subsequently died at a hospital. The 34-year-old actress studied television and entertainment in Korea. She appeared in films such as Sin of a Family, A Journey with Korean Masters, and Eating, Talking, and Faucking.
