A celebrity’s life is never easy. Sometimes, we are dazzled by their fame, wealth, and the lavish lifestyle they live. But along with luxury comes hijacking of privacy, social trolling, online harassment, and whatnot else. Many times celebrities are targeted by media houses. Being a celebrity means you’ve got to keep your public image clean otherwise, it’ll affect your career, or, in the worst-case scenario, it might end up your job. The more you try to keep things aligned, the more people come together to tarnish it. Some celebrities had a bright future ahead, but life must have planned something else.

1. Kim Mi Soo

She was a South Korean-based actress and model who had featured in several dramas and web series like Hi, Bye Mama, Snowdrop, Hellbound, etc. On 5 January 2022, the 29-year-old took her last breath. The cause of her death has not been made public, and the agency has asked all the media houses and fans to avoid spreading any false rumors about the artist and let her family mourn the death of their daughter. Many other celebrities and co-artists have paid tribute to her on social media.

2. Song Yu Jung

Song Yu Jung was a South Korean model and actress. She appeared in many dramas and movies like School 2017, Make a Wish, etc. She made her debut with the series Golden Rainbow in 2013. On 23 January 2021, the 26-year-old departed to heaven. Her agency has not revealed the cause of her death in the media.

3. Goo Soo Jung

Goo Soo Jung was a South Korean model and actress. She had already joined some significant achievements with her name and had a bright future ahead. But she was gone too soon. The 24-year-old actress has appeared in numerous dramas, music videos, and movies like Goblin, Solomon’s Perjury, and BTS’s music video ‘With Seoul.’ She died on February 7, 2020, due to chronic illness, as revealed by her agency.

4. Sulli

Choi Jin-Ri, professionally known as Sulli, was a South Korean-based singer, model, and actress. She first appeared as a child actress and later featured in many dramas and movies like Ballad of Seodong, Drama City, BA: BO, etc. In 2009, she signed up with SM Entertainment and made her official debut in the girl group f(x). She has had a promising career, but right after she made her relationship public with the Dynamic Duo rapper Choiza, they had to go through severe cyberbullying. In 2018, she revealed on a talk show that she had experienced chronic disorder and social phobia since childhood. The reports also revealed that she suffered from severe depression before her death. On 14 October 2019, the 25-year-old was found dead at her apartment. The police had told the cause of death by hanging, which indicates a suicide.

5. Cha In Ha

Cha In Ha was a South Korean actor and model. He was best known for his extraordinary performances in numerous dramas and films like The Banker, Love with Flaws, Clean with Passion for now, etc. On December 3, 2019, the 27-year-old was found dead in his apartment. The agency has not made the cause of his death public and requested all his fans and well-wishers not to spread any false rumors about his death for the sake of his family. Much leading news daily has linked his death with the demise of Sulli and Goo Hara. They both died within two months of his death.

6. Jang Ja Yeon

Jang Ja Yeon was a South Korean model and actress. On 25 January 1980, she was born in Jeongeup, North Jeolla Province, South Korea. She debuted in the industry with a TV Commercial. She is best recognized for her role as Sunny in the drama Boys Over Flowers. Jang lost her parents in an accident in 1999. She was living with her siblings before her demise. It was told that she was suffering from severe depression. The 29-year-old was found dead in her apartment on 7 March 2009. The cause of her death was revealed as death by hanging. The motive behind her suicide was the sexual and physical harassment she had been dealing with for a long time. In her suicide note, she has disclosed many names responsible for her death.

7. Park Ji Hoon

Park Ji Hoon was a model and actor. He had appeared in many dramas and movies like Chicago Typewriter, Dal Soon’s Spring, etc. He gained much popularity as a model and had worked for well-known fashion brands. On May 11 1989, the 31-year-old departed for heaven. It was told that the reason behind his death was stomach cancer. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, many of his friends and fans paid their condolences by sending flower bouquets.

8. Lee Eun Ju

Eun Ju was a South Korean-based model and actress. The 24-year-old was best known for her performance in Taegukgi and The Scarlett Letter. On 22 February 2005, she committed suicide and died. Her family revealed she was dealing with depression before her demise.

9. Jonghyun

Kim Jong-Hyun, professionally known as Jonghyun, was a South Korean singer, record producer, host, and songwriter. In the boy band Shinee, he worked as a lead vocalist. In 2015, he debuted as a solo artist with his album Base. He was first spotted by a scout of SM Entertainment when he was 15 years old. In December 2017,  the 27-year-old committed suicide in an apartment. The report revealed that he had inhaled some toxic fumes or smoke that had led to a cardiac arrest. It was told that he suffered from depression before his death.

10. Tany

Kim Jin-soo was a South Korean singer and songwriter. He was a solo K-Pop artist who gained fame with his song “Always Remember” in 2016. He wrote the song as a tribute to the victims of the Sewol Ferry Disaster. On 14th April 2018, the 22-year-old died in a car accident. His agency confirmed the news the next day.
